Had a Sunday meal with my husband.
The menu looked wonderful. We had visited before and was impressed.
On this visit.
We both had mushrooms in white wine and cream sauce.
We both decided to have the vegetarian moussaka with a few hand cut chips.
Both choices did not disappoint.

We dined there Saturday evening in one of their period carriages and had a great view out over the countryside and the East Coast Mainline!

What a lovely place in York, you can sit and enjoy a delicious meal in one of their train carriages and watch all the different trains go past. The food is excellent and the service is great. If you are looking for a unique experience, this place is highly recommended.
Wow! This place is amazing, especially for railway enthusiasts. We were greeted with a warm welcome on arrival and made to feel right at home! The service was simply outstanding!

My wife and I accidentally came across the Sidings when staying in York for our anniversary recently.
We loved every second from the warm welcome with an open fire in the main foyer to sitting at a lovely classic table in a booth within a lovely vintage carriage.

Met up with my family who could only meet us at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. I needed something to eat so this wonderful restaurant was one of the only places open on a Sunday late afternoon. We have been many times before it is one of our favourite restaurants, if not our favourite John and the staf
