Fantastic tea room with 1920's atmosphere. A pure treat and experience to go there. Food is fab. There is also a vintage shop to browse in upstairs. A must place to visit.

Felt like I had stepped back in time... a true gem of a place. Wonderful staff, no waiting at all .. everything Home-made & delicious. I opted for afternoon Tea, I couldn't eat it all! But the lovely lady put it in a bag for me to take home. Exceptional value for money x

Popped in for the first time with my two year old. We only got a tea and toasted teacake but it was lovely. Proper tea and a lovely fresh tea cake, delicious! Service excellent too, very friendly. Picked up some chocolate cake too- gorgeous! Can't believe that I have never been in here before, it's certainly not my last visit.

Thanks for my vegan lunch. The hummus was fantastic and the salad dressing amazing. More than made up for my jacket potato was was so overdone I couldn't eat the skin. And that's always the best part. And thank you for the soya milk for my tea. Huge portions too

Sarah the lady who runs the tearoom used to be a teacher of mine when I was at school and she is such a amazing person and makes you feel very welcomed. Definitely a place to visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed the "tea" we had there. A mixture of a hot meal and traditional tea. Ideal place for grandchildren and grandparents. It was about six months ago, so time to go back!

Popped in for a light lunch and enjoyed the quirky atmosphere, and music. Plus if you like the look of the decor most of it is for sale. I had a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich, in regulation triangles and my daughter had a vegetarian chili wrap which was piping hot and cheesy! Having demolished that we had to have scones and cake, it almost seemed rude not to. Excellent fare and the staff are both unobtrusive and helpful which is a rare combination in this day and age.

Delightfully old fashioned cafe selling real home made food. We arrived at 2pm and some menu items were sold out. No fetching some more from the freezer here. Hand made bread rolls and cakes like your granny’s. Wish I lived nearer.

My cousin has been visiting this cafe for many years. We ordered two jacket potatoes with bacon and cheese. The portions are enormous! I had the soup which was specialty cooked for me as I’m lactose intolerant. It came with a huge bread tea cake made on the premises. Can’t fault it. Two ladies were having afternoon tea with fizz and it looked amazing. It’s also a quirky shop. There was a lactose free cake but I was so full up I couldn’t manage a slice. May be next time!

Love this place! Perfect venue for a very low key not-a-hen do. The food was amazing (as always) and we had a smashing time. Nothing was too much trouble and we took the bits we couldn't finish home to enjoy later. Highly recommended, can't wait to return.
