A lovely tearooms with a relaxing and tranquil setting. Service was quick, food and drinks were delicious. I like that the waitress asked if I wanted chocolate on my cappuccino, most places don't ask. I'll definitely be back for cake as they looked lovely!

This is a nice café with tables outside close by the river. Order at the counter from the menu or the specials' board. Food is very good quality and arrives quickly, the staff are very professional, and the coffee is good too. We went for a late Sunday breakfast - there is no cut-off time for a cook

Visited after a lovely walk in the area. What a treat ! It was busy but plenty of tables , staff were quick and efficient so didn't wait long to be served. Girls at the order point were really friendly making conversation while i waited.Spoilt for choice with all the delicious looking cakes and scon

1st Visit to The Pump House Tea Room beautiful location a nice sun trap on the outside terrace. Very helpful friendly staff really enjoyed my breakfast and coffee after completing Durham Parkrun. Looking forward to my next visit.

Limited choice left from the menu but the food was nice. Service a little slow, had to wait 30 mins for soup & scone and a toasty

First time trying this place out and will definitely be back. We received a warm and friendly welcome, polite and patient service. My friend and I had paninis, tea and biscoff cheesecake, which was all delicious and they took a lot of care of the presentation, especially the cakes. Highly recommend

Not from the local area so we were looking for a dog friendly cafe. They have a big menu but we just wanted a breakfast and it didn’t disappoint. Good portion size and tasty as well. Husband said his coffee was good. The four of us couldn’t complain. It was toasty warm inside too!
