Best fish and chips I've had in a while. Owners are spot on easy to talk to, a good laugh. We drove past this chippy on the way to a job and I knew it was a good one I just had a good feeling. Honestly, chip shops in my opinion seem to be going down hill but these guys have got a tight ship, clean
Visited this fantastic establishment on 18/02/23 , what a fantastic find . Friendly staff , lovely clean cafe , and oh wow yes fish and chips cooked to perfection . You county Durham people , are lucky to have an establishment like this .

Visited Sarahs Plaice after the Shildon match on my way to catch the train back to Edinburgh. Quality of food which was cooked in front of my eyes was exceptional and the warm friendly welcome along with the first class service was second to none.
Since finding this excellent chippy we've never been disappointed on the quality or the price & the girls are always welcoming. The only slight disappointment is that Haddock (although advertised) never seems to be available which me & my Mam love (although we do like Cod as well!). It's such good q
We tried Sarah's Plaice after coming highly recommended. They are best fish and chips we have had in years. Suberb taste and quality. The staff are absolutely lovely. Cannot believe this quality on our doorstep.
Sarah's place is loverly they are really good chips we've eaten in and. Taken out for anyone who hasn't been to Shildon to try them it's a must you won't be disappointed it is wheelchair accesable but parking not good as double yellow all around and a bus turn in right next door but worth inconvenie
