Lovely place this, we went for a very straightforward afternoon tea. Food was great and we really enjoyed the pies and quiche. The scones were to die for and still warm! Light and airy with a nice crust. A must see if you're in the area! A great selection of cakes to eat in or takeaway!!

Excellent small place with genuinely helpful staff. Food was pretty good and you can tell they made an effort. The only issue I guess is that you need to book or get takeaway because it's always rammed full. But it's rather that than a desolate empty place.

You can also sometimes buy the gluten free artisan bread that they bake and use for the meals if they have some spare. Cakes were lovely too!
Wonderful village cafe, serving amazingly tasty food with great service. Visited twice during our week long stay in Shilbottle, one for a breakfast, once for lunch. Online it looked like there was no availability but i went in and asked and they fit us in which is fab.

We booked here for breakfast on the way home from a week away. We had visited the one at Long Framlington last year and had great food and this was exactly the same, top quality and excellent staff. Definitely worth the visit if you are in the area 👍

We had a Full English and a Vegetarian. Both came with loads of top quality ingredients. Absolutely delicious! The staff were friendly and we couldn't fault our visit. We got called to take away. Being the second branch that I have visited, I had high expectations for the food and they certainly did not disappoint.
Arriving, it is easy to find plenty of parking behind the establishment and with quite a few tables,
Half Pub, half tea room for an odd combination. The tea room half is very popular & reservations recommended. The menu is very extensive & some lovely puns in the food titles to make you laugh. The food is of very good quality & served by friendly staff. Lovely selection of cakes & bread related ite
