No matter where we walked in Sheringham we always ended up at the Two Lifeboats, a lovely friendly pub, good food, Prompt service, even letting us have a taste of the beers when we couldn't decide and the view is too die for,I have seen the Northen lights there, but it was after a drink or two!
Had several meals here last week (liver was esp lovely) friendly staff and a great view if can grab an outside table. Shame don't do beer mats anymore as ment tables were sticky but staff when asked were happy to wipe down.
Lovely pub, very friendly. Food very good! Nothing too much trouble. Went in with my very elderly dog and when asking for a bowl of fresh water the young waitress was very obliging!
Went there on a Sunday early evening for dinner. Booked a table for 4 a hour later when we arrived. Lady took our booking with no problem.
Arrived at 6pm. Straight to table.
The waitress took our order and advised what food wasn't available.
Very professional and polite.
Food came promptly and no issues. Three of us had surf and turf. Little one had nuggets chips and peas.
Food well presented. Ribs could of been done just a little more as didn't fall off the bone but still tasted great.
Will definitely be back soon 👍
Popped in here for an evening meal. Absolutely lovely friendly staff. As soon as we entered the hostess/waitress was lovely and welcoming. She explained the menu and seated us. It was clean and the service was quick. All orders taken at the table made things much easier. The food was delicious 😋 steak & ale pie was fab and the quiche of the day was mouth wateringly good! Just what we needed after a busy day walking! Dog welcome too I noticed. Highly recommended.
The place is clean and very well set out. The staff are brilliant, very friendly especially Claire, the breakfast manager who just goes above and beyond for the guests, an example is when my Wife and I went to check out, we were leaving before breakfast, Claire asked the chef to make us sausage and bacon sandwiches to take on our trip home which we thought was great.
Fantastic place if you have food allergies. Olivia and the chefs went out of their way to cater for my needs, which made me feel relaxed and my mind settled knowing I'm being well looked after. Our meal were delicious. Thank you Olivia and team !
Nice 'pub grub'. Our server was really lovely and polite and super friendly. Gin was fantastically served. We were told there was only outside seating available which was fine by us but we were in a queue and no one else came to sit outside?? Would come again.
Popped in for a beverage - the place has been done up since we last went, albeit that's a few years back now, which was pleasing.
They were fairly busy, as you'd both hope and expect from a public house on the seafront, but we sat outside, so there are no issues there.
A good range of drinks offered with, given the number of customers, relatively quick service, so no issues again with this.
If you are on Sheringham and fancy refreshment, pop in.
Lovely place for a meal, a very relaxed atmosphere. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. Great service, didn't have to wait too long for the food to come to the table. Food was piping hot and beautifully presented on the plate. Had a window table with a lovely see view.
Had a great meal with views across to the water. Jenna was very helpful and spoke to the chef to ensure no cross-contamination with any shellfish, due to a severe allergy. Food was very good and relaxed setting.
Best pub meal I've had in a very long time, strongly recommended! On our first visit to Sheringham, we looked at all the available options with the Two Lifeboats seemingly the pick of the bunch. We were not disappointed! Greeted by the charming and attentive Jenna, the dining rooms provided a cozy and quaint atmosphere, perfect to relax in after a day's walking in the fresh air. At Jenna's suggestion we decided to share the line caught sea trout, freshly landed in the local area - this did not disappoint, and in fact turned out to be an epic choice. Grilled by the chef to perfection, we were served a simple yet utterly delicious feast of fish, potatoes and salad, washed down by the local ales - a meal to be long remembered... As the pics show, we devoured everything! I hope you give this place a go and have the same experience at the Two Lifeboats as we did!
In an age of "order on the app" it was lovely to see that some restaurants still understand what customer service should be. My wife and I went in for lunch on Saturday and we were both really impressed. We were met at the door by the lovely Jenna who saw us to a table, took a drinks order and talked us through the specials.
The food was absolutely top notch and the service was first rate.
We had read on Facebook that the pub had recently had a rather expensive refit which is why we went in. I must say the decor was very nice but it's the staff here that make the place.
A final note to the chef, the homemade quiche I had is the best I have eaten.
Look forward to visiting again soon
