Popped in for lunch today and was massively surprised, lovely tidy little restaurant attached to the take away chip shop, me and my wife both ended up having the Dave's special (might have been called Dave's deal? I don't recall) but it £12.80 for haddock (you could have cod or plaice as well) chips, bread and butter a drink and the choice of mushy peas, curry sauce or gravy! Didn't have to wait too long for it turn up, red hot and freshly cooked, crispy light batter, good amount of chips the best curry sauce we've had for ages! The proper old school slightly chunky and sweet chip shop sauce, not a spicy gravy! Service was nice and polite, got quite busy for a Monday lunchtime which is a good sign! Can't wait to go back

What a gem of a place, hands down the best for miles. The size of the portion was massive, the batter was light and crispy. The fish had large flakes of white gold. Well recommend.

Checked out the reviews for fish & chips and Dave’s was highly rated. There were 5 of us and we all really enjoyed the fish and chips. Food cooked fresh and it was worth the little wait and its tastes great. Good valve for money and helpful staff. The dog love the leftovers. Just to note it’s cash only.

Called in here tonight with my wife. For me it's got to always be Haddock for fish and chips which they have as an option. Lovely fresh fish, crisp and light batter and cooked to perfection. Very friendly staff with fast service, great value too. £12.80 for their "Special", fish, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and tea. As good as any fish & chips I've had in my home county of Yorkshire!

Had a senior portion of fish and chips. Service was quick and the batter was delicious. We also had a slice of bread and butter each, as well as a pot of tea. All included in the cost, at under £20 for two people it's well worth a visit when in Sheringham.

Visited here today with my wife in the restaurant. It was clean and the staff were friendly. Food was priced well and we were served promptly. Well worth a look. Tip. The takeaway is the left door. The restaurant is the right. They are the same business but it's easy to miss the restaurant. Restaurant takes credit cards but takeaway is cash only

Haven't tried all the Fish & Chip places in Sheringham, no need to, Dave's is one of places that you find that is so good, why go elsewhere. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful, service is quick and the food is great, freshly cooked and not greasy at all. Portion size is perfect and the prices are very good. Whenever we visit Sheringham and fancy Fish & Chips, it's always Dave's.

We walked in off the street just before 12 and were very lucky to nab the last table. Booking recommended - perhaps half term made something of a difference but this place is popular. With good reason - the fish tasted fresh and was cooked in a light batter and the chips were made with tasty potatoes. Portions are enormous; I could only eat half the plate. They offer half portions of chips which is worth remembering!

They open from 12-2pm for lunch, card payment only for dine-in. Service is very cheerful and helpful. We had haddock/cod with chips; I swapped the chips for mushy peas. Very rich and heavy meal but superb. Fish is very fresh and sweet. Prices are very, very affordable. Has amenities. We parked some 15 minutes walk away , but the nearest car park would be the smallish Morris St carpark. Good once in a while indulgence (calories wise).
