Unfortunately the restaurant was closed during our visit, so didn’t manage to try their food. However the breakfast was delicious and on our second day eat in the courtyard, which is beautiful.

A group of 4 great friends and their 3 dogs were seated in the most beautiful garden to have the most amazing meal. The food was exceptional, the ambience fantastic and the servers went above and beyond . We had such a great experience and we will definitely be back.
I had lunch with a friend, having found The Plume online and was really impressed. The 'small plates' Italian food was excellent as was the service with lovely friendly staff. I would highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again!
The Italian tapas was delicious and five dishes between the two of us was just right. Lots of choices on the menu and excellent friendly service. We will certainly return next time we visit Sherborne.
Italian tapas menu. Yes, you heard correctly. I recommend 2 courses each. We ordered 3 each and we were stuffed. Nice selection of ales and cocktails as well.
The Plume restaurant is a favourite of ours 😊 delicious Italian small plates, a great choice of wine, the ambience is warm, and the staff are welcoming.
We love this place. The food, service, staff knowledge and atmosphere are always fantastic. Refreshing for vegetarian and vegan friends to always enjoy a lot of choice on the menu too. Wine list is also very good. Highly recommend for a great night out.

Don't imagine you'll be getting fairly small "tapas" size portions, for oldies like me these were quite big.

We went to the Plume of Feathers with a few friends and it was fantastic! The idea is to order several small dishes for the table and share between yourselves, which automatically makes for great conversation, but most importantly, the food was delicious!! And you get to try lots of dishes that way.
Wow! What an amazing experience. Staff beyond friendly. Our room is top notch...if you like a big bath you are in for a treat. Couldn't get a better view of the Abbey, literally across the road. Whole town is beautiful. Food delicious and everything done with a smile.
