First time in Sherborne and the first place we saw was The Pear Tree , so we decided to have a coffee and a bite , absolutely perfect , the best cappuccino the best haloumi toastie and the best bake well tart , only one disappointing item the steak pastie which was lacking loads of meat , will definitely be back
I had a wonderful Plowman for lunch, with two cheeses my favourite being the Dorset Blue Vinny, accompanied by a Delightful Dorset beer. It’s nice that the Pear Tree have so many local Dorset products on the shelf’s too. I found the serving staff friendly as well.
Oh I might be a little biased as I’m a very proud to be,a Dorset lad.
Friendly welcome into this deli and cafe. Tasty inexpensive food served with a smile. I had mushrooms with Dorset blue Vinney cheese sauce with sourdough bread and salad. He had a meaty pork pie with salad. We went back later for scones and tea.
Lovely atmosphere, amazing staff and delicious food
Great food, fantastic service and good value for money. We will definitely go back but seeing how busy it is will book
Always excellent food. Great service and a lovely atmosphere.
I visited for the first time last week. Having recently had a kidney transplant and being on some pretty heavy meds, I was exhausted and more than a little out of it. I kind of half fell through the door and said 'I need a drink and a sandwich or something', I must have looked like a mad woman. The staff barely batted an eye and were so friendly and accommodating.
I got a delicious sandwich and drink to take away, served with a smile, and at a very reasonable price considering the quality.
The sandwich was really yummy, and I'm not just saying that because I was hungry.
I'll definitely be back, hopefully a bit more together in myself and I highly recommend.
Lovely place. My new fave in Sherborne.
Very nice. Lovely toastie with well done( as requested bacon, lost can’t get it right). Nice little side salad adds nice touch. Couldn’t resist a cake after. Friendly and Sherborne looks great and nice spot to have lunch or a cuppa.
Amazingly delicious sweet treats. Huge choice. Excellent cannoli.
Went in earlier this week and was very busy, but they were able to seat us at a table inside with minimal wait. We had good banter with the young lad who served us and the food was very good with only a short wait time.
My wife and I called in for morning coffee and did not have to wait for a table. The waitress was polite and friendly. My wife had a flapjack and I had the best cheese scone I have ever tasted - plenty of cheese, not too doughy, a real treat. You can pay cash or by card and covid measures were in place. Whilst we didn't have anything more substantial, there was plenty on offer, both to have in or to take away, as well as other things you could buy.
Stopped off for a bite to eat and was absolutely lovely inside. Everything was clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I was happy to see they had vegan options and the hot chocolate was super lush! Would highly recommend.
Excellent service and lovely food.
Fabulous gluten free pear & ginger cake plus 3 other gluten free options. Dog friendly. Quick and friendly service. Open on a Sunday. Small deli counter selling local cheeses plus takeaway cold drinks & a frozen deli cabinet. Table reservations possible. Local artwork for sale on the walls. Small seating area outside. Very handily placed just across from the Abbey.
Great food and very fast service, bought some nice cakes to takeaway.
Great lunch, varied, reasonable price menu, good service.
