Nice and pleasant place. Decent pool room and friendly service.
Land Lady is spot on, and she has very proficient and courteous staff. Regular entertainment. Great mix of customers so far. Who could ask for more. Just a great Public House. 👍 😃 Jubbly.
20 odd years ago I popped in her for a drink waiting for my pals to come down from Scotland via Yorkshire en route to Glastonbury, charming man behind the counter served me proper English Ale, loved the accent, been trying to find it on Google Maps all this time! Friendly pub with a good range of ciders, lagers and beers. All the 'sports' channels (4 large screen TVs) plus 'The Billy' hosts skittles, darts and pool teams playing in their local leagues. Live music can be enjoyed on Saturday nights. Worth a visit.
We was only in the town for one night, we visited a few places. This was by far the best and the busiest. A varied range of age groups. The outside area was remarkable.

This is a nice traditional pub. Pool, skittles, conversation and now sports mean you can go here just to drink and meet up with like minded people.
Went in there yesterday for a few drinks for my birthday, really welcoming staff. Lovely friendly pub.
