My Wife and Myself stayed at the Caravan park in our own touring caravan behind the wagon and horses inn on the bank holiday weekend in August 2015(We were there for a wedding in nearby Shepton Mallet) We had travelled down from Liverpool
I can only say that we ate in the pub every night and found the food to be delicious The owners Mike and Dawn were very accommodating. The staff were all really friendly. Infact the whole stay was wonderful.
The caravan park is by far one of the best value sites we have stayed at. Everything about it is spot on ..great location ..wonderful views... a really relaxing place to stay at and to visit the attractions of Somerset from
We will definatly be going back there in 2016
Stopped of yesterday after a 200 mike trip to pick up a motorhome, food was nice portion sizes tasty & staff were friendly they even gave my mate who’s an absolute ganet some extra chips recommended
As a family we have visited this pub a lot for all different occasions.. Not once have we had a bad meal, every single time the food is delicious and spot on. It is fairly priced, atmosphere, staff and owners are all lovely. Especially Dawn as she makes me the BEST Banoffee Pie EVER!!! Very welcoming and friendly but I would advise booking as it gets busy all the time. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Called by for lunch today. Good welcome good beer and good food. The weather was awful, it is February, so the open fire was very much appreciated
Had a lovely time and food was great! So impressed going back again with 16 others for my birthday
Had a family meal 22 of us good was lush service was good. Well recommend it.
Great pub , met the wife here as she stopped off for a drink and something to eat as she was out horse riding with a friend , the staff were very welcoming and came outside with their food and drinks, will definitely be stopping off here again 👍
Met up with my wife and friend after they called in for a drink and food and a chance to rest their horses after a long hack , great service and food and the staff were very welcoming 👍
A chance stop as it was on the route of a long road trip. A welcoming local place, wholesome pub food which was good value, Ok but basic drinks options, marginal wine options. Clean and a cosy old English inn with a roaring fire set in rolling hills. I'd stop again if passing.
I love this type of pub. It's very traditional and off the beaten track. Great value and tasty food.
First of all, I served the dinner here, I've met nice people, very gently who offered us a very tasty and fresh food, home made! :) Prices are more than affordable (seriously, for any pocket :)..), beer was cold, the garden was amazing, nice ambiance! I recommend them for everyone to try a Lunch or a nice dinner! :)
Absolutely loved this place and would highly recommend. It’s a traditional pub serving lovely food in very generous portions at very reasonable prices. We had the steak and ale pie and fish and chips and both were delicious. Would definitely go there again if ever visiting the area
We enjoyed our visit, friendly staff and good food. Very old pub, plenty of outside space if the weather had been kinder!
Absolutely lovely Sunday roast, couldn't fault it. A bit out our way but worth the trip.
Food was excellent, only one lady behind the bar who was also serving the food and taking orders, very pleasant to talk to and prices very reasonable.
We've been eating here since Dawn & Mike opened their pub. Food always great, all homemade.
