My husband and I went for lunch today 2 courses for 15.95 which included a glass of wine plus a large bottle of chilled water. My husband had fresh crab salad to start and I had the parsnip soup with soda bread, followed by roast beef and roast pork. The food was good and hot and all nicely cooked and presented , good portion sizes , you certainly don’t go hungry, excellent value for money. Also free entertainment with a live jazz and blues singer . We will certainly go again and recommend to other people .

Excellent meal tonight. Our first time there. The food was superb, we ate from the tapas menu. Service was friendly and discreet. A lovely place to go for an evening meal. We'll certainly come back!

We popped into the Shepton Brasserie for a drink and decided to try the scone with tea/coffee offer. These scones were probably the best I've ever had and very well presented. I had a large fruit scone, jam and clotted cream, whilst rest of family had the same, but with tea and butter instead of cream each for £4.50. Also available was a hot cross bun option in this offer. Other food coming out also looked very nice and well presented. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Seating is very comfortable, with a choice of dining chairs & tables or comfortable leather sofas. Wheelchair access is good with plenty of room between tables to pass and also room to be able to leave a wheelchair at the end of tables for those who can transfer to a standard chair. Spoke to the very pleasant chef who explained some of their future plans going forward. Set partially within the Haskins Department Store, this is by no means your normal department store café. They source and use where possible good quality local produce, the chef told us and things like the scones are baked on site. Prices are about what you should expect for an establishment like this. We will definitely be paying a future visit next time we're up this way. Thanks for a lovely experience.

Excellent lunch, all homemade with locally sourced produce, generous portions and great service. I think it's the best place to eat out in Shepton. We shall be going back and trying dinner not to mention breakfast, Sunday lunch and cocktails!

Came here with my family when visiting Shepton Mallet for breakfast and it was the best Full English I have ever had.. my wife had the scrambled eggs which was also excellent. We also decided to return a few days later for Lunch. It was very busy and I can see why. Staff were lovely.. we were assisted by Lucy who was extremely kind and helpful, and great with our children (and another kind young lady.. but I cannot recall her name). Thank you, we will hopefully be able to return soon.

Absolutely fabulous - we were visiting the area and looking for a dog friendly place to eat. Well, we were so delighted to find Shepton Brasserie - the food was excellent, the service was first class and our dog was very welcomed indeed. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again if we are back in the area 5*

I wasn’t a fan of one of the herbs used in the roast (I think it was chervil) but it was a nice and homey experience and the staff was lovely and their desserts looked great although I was too full to try one this time!

All in all very nice. Owner is I'm told Michaelin star holder and capable of great food. Here though is some basic stuff. Sunday lunch is said to be great but I was only there for hot chocolate. Prices seem fair in today's market. It's located at the back of and part of a furniture store complex but does have its own access from the street so seems an odd location but inside it's very pleasant. It's everything you expect. I've not eaten there but plan to. Food rating is from a friend's experience and what I saw others having.

Another Gem on my doorstep that even I'd forgotten, hidden in Shepton Mallet. Great atmosphere as soon as you enter to be greeted by a clean, tidy and wonderful staff. Not to be disappointed with the food simple but done very well you won't leave hungry 😋. Fabulous for a family stop or a catch up with friends.

Only reason I marked it down a star is it's a little difficult for mobility scooters to get around freely
