My Column in the local paper : After a tricky Half term week, it was lovely for Wayne and I to grab a romantic evening to ourselves on Friday. We headed down to Blostin's restaurant, and were very glad to find a cosy bar area with a roaring open fire. A few other couples were enjoying a glass of wine, and waiting to be seated. We all chatted happily, and it felt really relaxed. Vicky, a local lady, celebrating her birthday raved about the place, and thoroughly recommended the very special “Fillet of Beef baked in Puff Pastry with Madeira Sauce” , she gave it 11 out of ten ! We chose meals from the set menu, which is £20 for two courses/ £24 for three. Once seated, we only had to wait a few minutes for our starters to arrive. I tucked into the most deliciously fresh 'Smoked trout with potato pancakes, apple & beetroot salad” served on a delightfully rustic wooden platter. Wayne munched on slices of warm crusty “Blissful Garlic Bread” and sipped a local ale. Next he was absolutely blown away by his “ Slow roasted belly & fillet of Pork with apples & cider cream sauce” in twenty years he's never tasted Pork so good. I enjoyed a “Warm Chicken & Bacon salad” , then we shared a mouthwatering dessert of “Belgian Chocolate Cheesecake with homemade orange Cointreau Ice-Cream in a Brandy Snap basket”. Blostin's is Fine Dining, in a cosy setting. A real treat- and right on our doorstep!

Was here yesterday (Sunday) for a surprise meal for my Brother's birthday. Lovely friendly atmosphere and good service even though there was 24 of us. food was tasty and hot. If I was to write something about the downside it would be that parking was on the main road, but as it was a Sunday we managed to find a space.

What a cute restaurant with great service doing well their best in the pandemic. I felt safe inside. Starters were huge..smoked trout and crab. Sancerre white wine was delicious. Two course £24 three for £28 with loads of options. One vegetarian main.

A very nice family run place. The food was absolutely fantastic, very tasty indeed. We actually found this place purely by accident as we don't know the area, but it was a happy accident! Lovely people, fantastic service too. Highly recommended.

This has been here for 30 years or so. They must be doing something right. It's a no nonsense cosy restaurant with a very small, and I mean small, bar area. Well attended by one of the owners we were seated quickly on our booked table. The eating area was full. Food selection was fair and the menus is available to view on line which will show current offering. Food quality was good. I had herb crusted lamb rump. With rosemary jus. It had good flavour as did the dauphinoise potatoes. The remaining veg was just the often served carrot and courgette. All in all fair value, good service, nice setting and good food.

Visited on a busy Saturday night and was blown away by the quality of the food and great service. As a vegetation the fixed menu was great with a good couple of options for starter and main. All of which were delicious and the wine selection is terrific and well priced. Great value and highly recommended.

This family run establishment offers simply some of the finest dining there is in the area, think traditional and seasonal good English food. Elizabeth David would have certainly enjoyed her meal here as well as we did, highly recommend, and will return!

A group of us went last night & we all enjoyed the night. Good menu, good wine & beer selection all our meals came together service was polite & helpful.. if we are in Shepton again we will definitely re visit. Only reason I don't give 5 is down to my dietary requirements & menus isn't entirely clear of ingredients (however I didn't ask to many questions as I find it embarrassing)
