I recently dined at El Greco in Sheffield, and it was an amazing experience. The ambiance was charming with a touch of Greece, and the staff were welcoming. The menu offered a great variety of authentic Greek dishes. I particularly enjoyed their mixed grill, which was rich and flavorful. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable. Overall, El Greco is a fantastic choice for anyone craving delicious Greek cuisine in Sheffield. I'll definitely be returning!

This is about as good as you can get in England for an authentic Greek taverna experience. Great food, a glass roof area for when we actually have sun.
The Gyro souvlaki here is great in all the variations they do along with its cousin the skepasti. I'm yet to try other dishes here but will definitely be coming back.
Warnings for locals to consider:
This is a genuine Greek restaurant, staff will not always constantly check up on you like English restaurants.
It is the Greek way to be more relaxed and you may need to ask for what you want or shout them over politely.
To address anyone complaining in other reviews about some food being microwaved. This is likely true and typical even in Greece.
Heavy slow cooking dishes like Moussaka or Pastitsio are generally made in the mornings as they take hours to prepare. If you want these dishes fresh you will need to ask when they are made and avoid if reheated food bothers you.
Otherwise the majority of fish, meat and vegetable dishes are made fresh on the spot and are delicious.
I strongly recommend this restaurant despite the perceived downsides. All round a great experience in Greek dining.
Lovely Greek restaurant with friendly service. Portion sizes that make you wish you'd worn your elasticated trousers. Really tasty. This was our first time here but it won't be our last. I didn't think to take the photo until I was half way through the giant mixed grill...
Extremely quaint, cosy family run restaurant in Woodseats. Offers takeaway, dine in and a small bar with nice views on to the world passing by. The colours of the restaurant complement the place nicely. Friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere and lovely greek music to accompany the amazing food!
Amazing Greek food, great service and fantastic staff! Greek food is one of our go to take away choices, but this was by far the best we’ve ever had. We ordered the mixed grill for 2 and there was more than enough food. The lamb chops were incredible, we were really impressed with the portion size, offering excellent value for money. Recently opened and I would highly recommend to anyone. Looking forward to go and visit the restaurant itself!
I’ve dined in and ordered home. I must say delivery is super speedy! Literally within 10 minutes after placing my order it was delivered. Dine in is also a great experience. Clean restaurant, clean single use bathrooms and buildings beautiful. quick service, convenient location with parking nearby . The atmosphere is great especially during winter with all the lights. The owner I believe he may be? .. he is absolutely amazing , very welcoming, generous and kind, he makes time for his customers to ensure you’re enjoying your time there and the food. The English waiter is also attentive even if she does forget one or two items during busy periods ;) but she’s very hospitable and friendly. The food is tasty, I truly enjoy eating here And always recommend then. Great work ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just ordered takeaway from here for the first time after a recommendation and it was honestly absolutely amazing!!! Had the mixed grill which was a massive portion and cooked beautifully. Lovely friendly staff as well, thank you guys will see you again soon :)

I've had plenty of home deliveries from El Greco and they've always been great. Recently we visited in person with some friends and it was great.
Lovely food tonight. I shared this mixed grill for 2 with my boyfriend, £28. Extremely stuffed and have leftovers to take home!
