For any locals or students who know about john's van, know how good their bagels are. But this place has beaten that by a country mile. I had to stop my meal multiple times to just savour and shake my fork in pleasure.
They use great ingredients, cooking time is super fast, presentation astonishing
We had a fantastic lunch here; didn’t know what to expect but the quality of everything was top-notch. Also very reasonably priced cakes / pastries.
Lovely gem of a place. Absolutely delicious food, beautiful decor, very reasonably priced, friendly staff. Great vibe to the place, will definitely be returning. As a side note, I really appreciated seeing the free sanitary products in the (immaculate) bathroom. Thank you for thinking of that!
Great local place to stop for a lovely coffee, the food is definitely worth trying, especially the bagels. Great friendly service in a cool coffee shop, will definitely be going back again.

Now my go to for a place in Crookes for me and my dad to relax, read and have lunch. Friendly staff, great food (made a sauerkraut convert out of me!) Would recommend!
Popped my head in to check the place out and decided it looked great because they were playing some excellent 'retro' music!! Both my 2 friends and myself the the food.
Would have given 5 stars if I'd got butter (or been asked) on my sausage bagel. Minor point.

Edit: finally got back to The Lost Jockey, and the Red Pesto Eggs on black bread are delicious! Their Smith St coffee is some of the best in the Sheffield, and although I miss the homemade cakes I'm sure they will go from strength to strength after

Nice quiet little place, great hot chocolate and my wife enjoyed the coffee. Interesting biscoff parkin - worked really well actually. I can definitely recommend the apple turnover, too!
