I've been going to the Trafalgar for decades. It's not my local anymore, but on the odd occasion, I'll go in. The chips are usually nice and not too greasy. The fish white, tasty, and batter crispy. Peas enjoyable. There's some bad reviews on Google Maps and there is some truth to some of the chips having black 'eyes' or streaks through them, but they were less than other chip shops and very fresh on my latest visit. I would improve the food by using a little more quality control on the chips and ensuring they're always cooked fresh. Other than that, they're fine. I never go to any chip shop during non peak times as you're always likely to get chips that have been sat for quite some time. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal.
A gem of a chip shop just off one of the main roads into Sheffield. The staff are always friendly & the food is excellent. It's well worth a visit if you are feeling peckish!
Always go here. Love the food and will continue to go here for the foreseeable future.
Edit: went today and the portion sizes are awful. Looks more like kids meals. Really gone downhill lately. Definitly trying to increase their profit margins
Don't get all the bad reviews. Make your own mind up. Lovely chippy and nice people. Always good food.
Always delicious and fresh, the place smells lovely and the staff are always very polite. Support local businesses by spending your money with these guys.
The best fish cakes in Sheffield but everything is so good and the staff are lovely and friendly. They always wrap up a sausage for my dog but the best thing about this chippy is the BATTER. Once the batter is right you know everything else is delicious.
Never been disappointed but always surprised by the friendly staff, delicious food and the extra sausage for my dog.
Thankfully they are still managing to stay open.

This is the best by far, there is no after taste. Love the fish cake butties, no bones like others. Also there fish chips and curry are divine. Highly recommend. Friendly nice service. Perfect.
The food was piping hot and fresh the batter was amazingly crisp. Would definitely to friends and family.
Very tasty fish and chips with one of the best curry sauces I've tried. Only "complaint" would be the fish was surprisingly skinny. Never seen a fish from a chippy be so skinny but it was still quite long. Also thought the price of the fish was a bit much for how skinny it was when the same price in another chippy would get you quite a sizeable one.
Run by a wonderful family. Friendly and chatty. Fish and chips always excellent. Would thoroughly recommend.
