A great coffee shop, definitely worth a visit! I have been to Forge Bakehouse (2 brunches) several times and I keep going back. Baked goods and break are of very high quality, service has always been very good. Personal favourite, the almond croissant, hands down, best almond croissant I ve had!
Forge supplied the sweet treats for our wedding and we were not disappointed! We got two types of pastries and two types of donuts. Doing everything vegan was not a problem for the bakery and everyone was raving about them! Highly recommend if you're looking for someone to cater bakes and treats.
We came during a manic period on Sunday morning. Wasn’t sure if we could find a table ourselves, or wait for a table. In the end, we clarified with a member of staff; they cleared a table for us. We got some menus and ordered at the till. Unfortunately they sold out of granola. So we plumped for almond croissant and pecan bun. Both were lovely and fresh. The coffees came later, as they were very busy.

What a breakfast! These full English breakfasts cured our hangovers yesterday. Everything was cooked to perfection and top quality. We were happy to see they use @mossvalleyfinemeats too. Couldn't have asked for anything more it was perfect 👌
The pastries and bread here are also top notch and we had to take a couple home. They were truly delicious and flawless.

Called in for coffee and a Portuguese tart with my dog. Got 2 pain au chocolate to take away which were delish although slightly overdone.
The food and coffee is great but not cheap.
It's great they allow dogs so we will be back again for definite.
I need to take another route home from the gym cause I can’t go past here without stopping and popping in for their latest vegan sandwich.
Hats off to whoever came up with that sandwich filling combination.
The sweet potato and black bean roll that I had last week was incredible.
The cumin seeds on top make everything come together.
I have now been to a few of the event nights and have enjoyed them all immensely. The most recent was the Italian night. The food was amazing on each visit. The service and atmosphere are also brilliant. I would highly recommend.
Gorgeous lunch spot, really fresh ingredients and friendly service. I had the harissa eggs with fried chicken and my friend has the pancakes with plum/mascapone/honeyed wallnuts- both delicious. Great selection of freshly baked breads / pastries to takeaway!

Oh my goodness THIS PLACE !!!! We are so envious of everyone that lives nearby. We live 150 miles away but every time we come to the area (for work) we visit. Where do I start.. the coffee - so smoky and rich, expertly made.... the breakfast in the cafe is incredible, cooked with expertise and love.. the toasted sourdough with halloumi , avocado and harissa fried eggs and labne is HIGHLY recommended.. and the bread and pastries are so good!.. best croissant I've since being in Paris - sourdoughs perfect in every way.. I'm working my way through the menu of goodies but the empanadas were deliciously seasoned and perfect texture empanada pastry, the iced danish perfectly judged in sweetness and texture ....this is coming from 2 chefs that have cooked and baked for over 20 yrs each... the team there is so friendly, knowledgable and helpful - I could go on and on..... This is my absolute MUST visit for everyone in Sheffield - Well done Team Forge Bakehouse -you deserve so much success!... and if you're ever interested in opening in St. Albans, Herts please do.. ??? Anyone reading this... you absolutely must go!.. we've put some photos from our last visit.. can't wait to come back!..x
I’m now a regular at Forge Bakehouse and it is my go to cafe whenever I am in Sheffield. All the food is amazing and the coffees are great. Most recently I had the cheese and ham Croissant and a doughnut. They were fantastic. The staff are lovely too. This is a must visit whenever you are in the area.
First got a sandwich from the stall in the train station and it was absolutely to DIE for! So I figured I must check out the café/bakery!
I ordered huevos rancheros and my partner ordered beans on toast.
The huevos rancheros actually was shakshuka was disappointed me a little cause those two things are not the same at all. However, it was good shakshuka.
My partners beans were good but arrived to us cold.
After, we popped down to the bakery and got a pecan tart which was INCREDIBLE, and a donut and pain au chocolat. The bakery had so many choices and everything looked amazing!

I now actually come here almost weekly, and have been for a year and I love it! Any issue I had before is gone, it’s my favourite place in Sheffield!!! Changed to 5 stars!

We had a brunch there and the food was great. I ordered the baked eggs but they were a bit too spicy for me. So, if you are not much into spicy food this might not be the right one to order. The fried eggs were excellent!
We've been to the Forge many times already and we intend to go many times more! Delicious food, cute indoor and outdoor seating, and the friendliest staff. 👍 There's no prior booking so you've got to be fast, but their French toast is especially worth it!
Lovely place to visit and an amazing authentic bakery. Detailed comments below:
Pain au chocolat: One of the best you will taste 10/10
Butter croissant: Now the issue is we only got the vegan one as they ran out of their normal one at only 10:30AM which is really bad considering it's 1.5 hours since they open. Hoping they fine tune their quantity. The vegan one in all honesty was a good one but nothing in comparison to normal one. Great option for vegans! 7/10
Hot chocolate: Very lackluster hot chocolate, I asked for extra chocolatey and it still came pretty bland, can't imagine how it would be normally. They definitely need to improve this. 4/10
Mocha: Great mocha with smooth coffee beans but let down by chocolate. 7/10
French toast: Lovely and fulfilling, worth getting! 9/10
Sourdough toast: I had to ask for it twice as they over did mine even though I mentioned not to burn it at the point of ordering. However, their butter and jam is fantastic and worth it! 8/10
This has to be the best bakery in Sheffield. Friendly service, great tea & coffee, and freshly made pastries and bread. On our first visit we had the most delicious Portuguese tarts and yummy chocolate brownie for our daughter. We have also purchased freshly made sourdough bread and bostock pastry to bring home - bostock pastry was melting in the mouth and was to die for and bread was really good too! Support the local businesses, with quality assured. Our visit was extremely pleasant, and I strongly recommend Forge Bakehouse to all!
Thank you soooo much for having us during your Fish & Seafood event. ALL courses including starters (Crab Pate and Smoked Baba Ganoush) were just perfect, very tasty and full of little, incredible flavours... everything refined to perfection! The main course Baked Whole Sea-bass was just stunning, the Squid Ink Risotto omg - so delicate and delicious... and the Saffron Custard Tart with sorbet just a cherry on top guys...absolutely amazing!!!!! Thank you for the extra mile arranging the simplified kids menu and of course customised ♥️bread♥️
