Quiet honestly I wouldn't go in here last year..but now it's had a refurb nice and friendly place to be.all our friends come in now.we go in every Thursday afternoon the staff are always helpful and the food is good.i recommend the mixed grill and the double burger.washed down with a £2.25 Doombar...and after 8pm Thursday it's £1.50 drink's.

Great bar staff, really friendly. The small plates were good value and very nice. A good pre-match pub showing games on the big screen.
Not too bad pub food. Some were great others not so good. Will definitely recommend the katsu chicken. Didn't have any alcohol so can't say much about the bar.
Place to be on a Saturday night! Whether your someone who likes to have a dance or want somewhere to sit down with some atmosphere. Amazing friendly staff always feeling welcome. Best DJ in town playing songs for everyone.
Been going there regularly and will carry on. If you’re looking for somewhere to have a dance before you hit the nightclubs in the early hours or even if your a someone who goes home early but would love a boogie before this is the place to go. Opened till 1am. Never fails this place 10/10 each week.
We were served by an Australian man named Nick, he was absolutely amazing. He catered to our needs regarding drink pretences and our song preferences. He ensured we were comfortable regarding music preferences and advised us of the best places to go around Sheffield. He was extremely enthusiastic and kind, whilst maintaining professionalism. Nick is an outstanding bartender and he ensured we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Yates in Sheffield. We will attend again, particularly just to receive the service from him.

Food was decent, fish was big and nice quality Staff were friendly and working really hard.
Took a while to clear dirty plates but it was really busy!
Quite noisy but had a good vibe and there was TVs with sports on as well as music 🎵

Good music, bit loud tho.... Couldn't have a conversation with friends so we left and went to another lively bar top of fargate where still great atmosphere, busier and music but we could actually speak to each other.... Probably why Yates wasn't busy no one could hear each other....

Great staff and friendly. Venue well looked after. Food could be better for the price, or cheaper for what it is, same with pool table. But overall not bad with nice atmosphere

Me and my friend loved this bar, where the atmosphere is lively especially with the leaves and lights! The service was fast and we enjoyed our 2 for 1 cocktail deal, also the toilets were clean like the rest of the area.
An Australian guy served us and he was very nice and friendly. Had a few jokes with him. Vegan food was lovely deffo recommend we go ofter for drinks and food
Decent enough service and a nice, clean, space. But honestly an -awful- pint of Guinness.

Nestled in the heart of the city, Yates Sheffield is known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse crowd, but DJ Luke brought something extraordinary to the table. From the moment he hit the decks, the energy was electric. His eclectic mix of tracks had everyone on their feet, seamlessly blending genres in a way that felt both innovative and nostalgic.
What set DJ Luke Westnidge apart was his ability to connect with the crowd. It wasn't just about the music; it was the experience he created. His transitions were flawless, building anticipation and delivering drop after drop that had the crowd roaring. It was clear he wasn't just playing tracks; he was telling a story, taking us on a journey through sound that was both exhilarating and emotive.
The venue itself, with its welcoming staff and well-maintained facilities, complemented the night perfectly. The sound system was top-notch, ensuring every beat was felt as much as heard, and the lighting added to the immersive experience DJ Luke crafted.
We popped in for a bite after running the Sheffield Half Marathon 2024. Pleasantly surprise that runners received a free drink!

Mint night, dj luke on Friday was sick, banging tunes that me and me mates like, had a blast 💥 top nights. Would recommend going down.
Nice food, obviously a busy place, lucky to get a table. Tables were sticky and in need of clean but yo be fair as I said it was busy and a Saturday
Food was excellent especially the steak, staff good.
Rather loud music in background but was not off-putting.
