We visited for my son's 15th birthday, I apologised as we were 15 minutes late, the staff couldn't have been nicer. The atmosphere was brilliant, service even better, little things like the waitress recognising my partner didn't have a steak knife (my son had pinched it) and bringing another over AND taking the one she had been using away instead of leaving it cluttering the table, the food was amazing, from my chowder to the steaks and even the birthday boy's pizza! Well done guys, food and service like this costs a lot more than my bill elsewhere, keep it up please, we'll be back!

Been here a couple of times for breakfast. Really good food. Great selection of Gins . Dog friendly. Great staff. Would highly recommend. One criticism need better glasses for gin and tonic. Don't like it served in wine glasses.

We went for dinner on Sunday and had one of the best roast dinners I've had in a pub for a long time. Generous portions (make sure you are hungry!) I had the pork and my hubby had the beef. They were both fabulous. Music was great.... as with true north pubs. Staff great and attentive. Kids food was nice enough (pizza / ham egg & chips) It's not as cosy as the broadfield - and lacks the atmosphere... granted. But... ideal with kids and within walking distance.

Amazing food, great atmosphere and fab venue! Can't wait to come back again. I'd recommend trying the pizzas and the lemon meringue for dessert is just delicious.

We visited today with our dog & we were very impressed. Friendly attentive staff, nice decor & relaxing music. Dogs are allowed in part of the pub & staff were more than happy to get her a water bowl. We had a lovely pint of true north pilsner with our lunch. The menu was varied & prices to suit all. We look forward to trying the evening menu.

Had a lovely meal here last night with a group of friends. Staff were very helpful, food was yummy, warm cosy atmosphere and simply a great pub and not too pricey either!

Best roast dinner I've had for AGES was eaten at the Waggon today (and I'm picky!) - the pork was moist, there was plenty of cracking and the potatoes and veg were so tasty!! Oh - and the yorkshire puds - BIGGGGGG :) Heartily recommend!!!! well done chef!

Had a lovely meal...I'm gluten free and trying to be vegan, so I can be a pain to feed, but it was no problem at all, good choices, tasty, clearly marked options on the menu...the rest of the menu is great too for non Veggies...we will be coming back! #veganuary #sheffieldvegansandvegetarians

Sunday roasts can sometimes be done averagely in pubs but this was spot on. Delicious beef and pork belly, cooked well and all the sides were as you would want. The usual suspects for dessert but done well too. Special shout out for the staff, great service and super friendly.

They managed to squeeze in our group of 11 people at late notice after we were let down by Whirlow Farm. Really friendly waiters and waitresses. The food was the best pub roast I’ve had in years. Only complaint was I’d have loved even more of the delicious gravy. Very family friendly pub with the added bonus of being right next to the park. I’ll definitely be back.

Our dining experience for five, including my mom in a wheelchair with rare dementia, was exceptional. The staff’s outstanding service, particularly in accommodating my mom’s needs, made the meal enjoyable. The food was not only delicious but also fresh. We had a wonderful time, and we’ll certainly be back for another satisfying meal. Thank you 🙏🏼

Squeezed us in when we hadn't booked which was great. Food came quite quickly which good. Warm and tasty. Service was engaging. Two children's parties were running so you could say it is definitely kid friendly! Dogs around as well which was fine by us!

The Wobbly Wanderers were here for a Funeral Wake. It is a large pub serving a variety of Beers & Lagers. The food was good.quality quantity and well presented. The only complaint is parking.... as it was busy we had to park in a raised section on the right hand side as you enter. It is a very tight entrance turn with a large high wall and narrow opening. Judging by the scuffs on the wall there's been quite a few scrapes getting in.

Thank you to Waggon and Horses for their excellent hospitality during our niece's christening, we enjoyed the experience so much seven of us came back for dinner and drinks in the evening. The beer selection was fantastic, the food was great and the service was outstanding. Highly recommended!

We used the outdoor cafe area, rather than the pub. Had a good coffee, milkshakes, and smoothies out facing the park. Would happily come back :) Friendly staff were preparing the drinks outside and open for a chat... Which made the service a bit slow. The menu looks extensive and looking forward to come back for lunch soon!

Okay, the Sunday Lunch review: The food is absolutely stunning, there is no denying it. Quality cuts of butchers meat, delicious roasted vegetables, perfect Yorkshire puddings. The ideal viscosity of gravy, with more provided when asked. You’re paying £16 - £18.50 for a roast. It’s pretty standard if you don’t want the average crap you could easily make at home. This is a cut above your usual roast that’s for sure and the quality of the meat is worth it. OKAY! Why 4 stars? Because they ran out of chicken and beef before we even ordered at 2pm!! Please sort this out! I saw another review mention this and thought surely they wouldn’t let that happen again. Chicken and Beef!! Literally the 2 biggest players in the roast dinner game. We were a table of 11 and they smashed it with the service. 2 younger girls I wish I got their names to mention them but they did really well (we were in Sunday 21st at 1:30pm so whoever was working then that fits the description lol) give them extra tips!! Dessert was delicious but again they’d ran out of crème brûlée. Increase your preparations to increase customer satisfaction 📈 You’ve definitely earned repeat customers - just make sure you have beef next time - you upset half of our table with that one! 🥩🚫☹️

As usual the food and atmosphere at the waggon and horses was fabulous for our Christmas meal with mates. Ellen went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and made planning the whole thing a dream. We’ll be back next year,

Our favourite place to meet for Sunday lunch. The staff are fantastic. We usually visit in a large group with small children which can be quite hectic but the staff are always so patient and accommodating with us! Nothing seems too much! The food is always delicious, we love the nut roast. The kids menu has lots of options and is great value - the ice cream with an endless list of toppings is a firm favourite. We have tried lots of different pubs in Sheffield for Sunday lunch but we always end up back at The Wagon and Horses! ':

I remember driving into Sheffield for years and years thinking how nice this pub looked as I drove past and one day I'd like to visit it. Well after about 30 years that day finally came on my birthday this year. We were in the area and thought what the hell and went to the Waggon. It's a lovely pub inside and out, really nice layout, great ales to choose from. Left the bar, went around the corner and there's a roaring log fire. Bonus! And the staff actually tended to it. And just when I thought it couldn't get better, we chose to eat bar snacks. Talloy chips, pork jowls and Henderson's onion rings. Oh my god they were so good, really filling and incredible value for money. It's a great bar and I cannot wait to go back again.
