Me and my friends came for lunch. We got a take out. The man serving us was FANTASTIC, he was lovely and so was the food. We felt welcomed and will return. The curry sauce was to die for - all the sauces are made onsite! If we could give it 10 stars, we would.
Called in after work today , friendly staff , took my order. Fresh cooked cod & chips. Both hot and nice batter on cod and good sized chips. Was also good to be able to sit inside. Will return soon. Thanks

Great lads in there can't do enough for you, funny, excellent customer service, yet professional and extremely clean.
Gravy was awesome, and they made me fresh scraps that were just amazing.

Really great customer service, I ordered my food and no drivers was available on just eat so one of the staff members delivered it themselves, also very friendly.

The best roe and chips that I have had in around 30 years. Fresh, delicious. Clean nice fish and chip shop with seats and tables. Lovely. Thank you 😊
I didn't like the packaging for delivery at all. Cod was really good, crispy and chips were a bit soggy and salty but they don't have an option for asking how much salt or Vinegar on fish and chips, which a minus point. Mushy peas and gravy were salty too. But overall, it was ok.

I've had plenty of poor experiences ordering fish and chips via delivery. All of which have been embarrassingly bad and down right disgusting. HOWEVER... after a quick and polite call prior to ordering upperthorpe fish and chips, I was guaranteed that my fish and chips would not be soggy.
The fish
Order here via delivery quite often. The food is good and always hot on arrival and they also always read and follow the order notes which is a massive plus in my books. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try they've never let me down since I've been ordering from them.

The food was nice. We had chicken strips and chips. The owner is a friendly man, jokes with his customers and even offered to add a little more chips to our plate.

Fish and chips were standard but quite nice. Curry sauce was mid but the scampi was very lovely. Service was very fast.
