The hotel was nice and clean. Lovely location overlooking the river. Bathroom could of done with some modernisation as it was freezing cold due to the windows but it was a great stay.
Went for a Christmas meal so didn't stay in the rooms. The hotel looks good but is a bit tired in some areas ,staff were friendly and attentive.food was good but the turkey was a little overcooked but this tends to happen sometimes when cooking Christmas dinners on mass.
Comfortable rooms. We had a pair of king-size beds. The room had good space and did not feel cramped. The room was very hot when we arrived. There is no window to open. Only a door to the balcony did not want to leave a door open all night. Balcony had a great view of the Quay side and barges. Good parking, free for Blue badge holder and right by the main door. Good size pool and kids welcome to use it till 8pm (1 adult per 2 kids). Breakfast was standard fare but good choice and not included in the price. Check out was very civilised as we did not need to leave till 11am. Staff were all friendly and attentive. Room and bathroom were a bit worn/tired. The extractor fan was not working, so the bathroom was damp. Could have done with a refresh. Most of the town centre attractions are only a 10 minute walk.
Stayed over here for a night with the other half after visiting Sheffield for a big night out! Our room had a balcony and over looked the quay straight in front, but unfortunately it was right on the end of the hotel situated next to all the big air conditioning units which were buzzing all night, even stumbling in drunk they still annoyed us as they were loud! I understand this can’t be helped however and apart from that everything was good. Breakfast was help your self buffet style and it was all hot. The location is good and central. They also have a swimming pool and mini leisure centre, we didn’t use those facilities though. I would recommend and book again if staying in Sheffield.
The room was spacious and there was a good flow of fresh air in the room. They had most appliances, I only stayed for one night so I can’t really critique the other services they offered. Though one thing I hope they would do is not put tissues just in the bathrooms and bins in inconvenient places, along with a thicker comforter. By the morning I was freezing. Other than that and otherwise coul experience 💜👍
Check in was super quick and easy. Very pleasant lady on reception. All of the staff that we encountered were very helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable about the hotel, it's facilities and the surrounding area. BIG shout out to Hannah in the bar area as she went above & beyond to make our time in the bar & restaurant a exceptionally pleasant time. We stayed in a double room overlooking the quays that was well equipped with items such as an iron, ironing board and hair dryer.
Great selection of food for breakfast.
All in all we had a nights stay with the comfiest bed. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay in Sheffield.
Good location and nice overlooking the Quays. Short walk to town. Good for the football ground. I enjoyed using the pool and steam room. The facilities are nice. Had the worst wine ever but the bloke was training and I'd take it to my room before I realised. The bed was naff is 237 I went with my partner for a weekend away with the most creakiest bed, which was a major put off as I didn't want to upset the neighbours. The bathroom was very basic and altho the facilities were nice I wouldn't stay as I don't want to sleep on a bed with rubbish pillows as I could have stayed at home. And I did pay £130 a night (Inc breakfast) so wasn't cheap. Breakfast was lovely no issues.
Loved every minute of it from check in to check out!
We checked in super quick and easy. The room was clean and spacious, and the beds were super comfy! We had a room with a balcony and it was really lovely to sit outside. We also used the heated pool more than once and there are plenty of changing facilities etc.
The staff were welcoming and attentive, a special mention to Dan for going above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back!
Room's are a little dated.
Furniture a little tatty ( well used )and the usb
chargers didn't work in our room.
Fantastic views of the quays.
Great service from very helpful and friendly staff.
Would stay again 👍🏼
We stayed for two nights in September and had a good stay. The bed was very comfortable and having a balcony overlooking the canal basin / quay was quite a treat. The quality of the food at breakfast was a bit mediocre but perfectly edible. The room was a bit tired and in need of refurbishing, but then so is the whole area around the hotel (at least until you get past the cathedral). We had an adjoining room but must have have quiet neighbours because they certainly didn't disturb us. Staff were very friendly. Car parking was free which was unexpected (the website says it is £7 / night). If we happened to be in Sheffield again, I would be happy to stay here again.
