Amazing food & excellent customer service We visited last Sunday, 3 adults & 2 children. We arrive a little late to discover our table had actually been booked for 30 minutes later, the server apologised & we had a drink in the bar whilst looking at the menus When we were seated we were apologised to again our orders were taken straight away. 2 of us ordered the same sausage but when it arrived we were told our option had run out & we should have been advised of this, the server told us that our server was very new, 1 of us had the sausage that would be on the next menu, it was beef, beetroot, chocolate & pistachio, put together by new chef Dave. We both turned our noses up at this but didn't want to wait so my friend took the plunge, we were advised we would not have to pay for that meal. This strange concoction is something we would all order again as it was stunning. All plates went back to the kitchen empty. During our meal we were also given a round of drinks for all the inconvenience. The children as always had room for more we ordered childrens brownies but when the bill came we had been charged for adults (as this is what was given to us) I notified the 'new girl' & she sorted it. Whilst some people might think this wasn't a great experience I can assure you it was the best any of us have had in a long time & this was reflected in our larger than normal tip. I would highly recommend the Broadfield as a place for great beer, gin, food & customer experience. You do need to book at this time of year.

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Simple robust food that lets quality ingredients do the talking. Stuffed baby squid was the best squid dish I've ever eaten in the UK. Amazing value!

First time visiting, and it will definitely not be the last, with warm hand made sausage rolls on the bar to tempt you, and yes they did tempt me. Great menu of locally sourced food, superb quality and value for money. I had the ham hock, wowsers, probably the best I've ever had, it was simply devine. With a wide range of cask and Keg beers, and spirits to every taste, they have the food and drink sorted. The staff are great too, excellent service, polite friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. A great pub, with superb food and great staff. πŸ‘ πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

A first visit and very impressed, generous portions of lovely home cooked food in a relaxing atmosphere. Our server was brilliant, really looked after us, I wish I'd asked his name now as he deserves a big shout out. Would highly recommend this pub!

What a delight to go into a pub & have genuine friendly, smiley & helpful staff from absolutely everyone. We'd booked a table for lunch & ordered king prawns starter to share & then my friend had a venison pie which she said was gorgeous & I had chicken schnitzel, really tasty & crunchy. We had a couple of 🍷 carmenere, very good wine choice & finished off with a stunning cheese board & one of the nicest chocolate pots I've ever had. We left full as frogs πŸ˜‚ Thankyou Broadfield, you really made us feel welcome & we look forward to returning.

Really nice vibe. The pub has an area for meals and then an area for drinks and snacks - atmosphere great in both. Big beer garden outside. Really attentive service when eating there, and helpful bar staff who are happy to help with recommendations for drinks. Really wide ranging selection of drinks too - lots of good beers and ales.

This has to be one of the best pubs around Abbeydale and has the best selection of beers and ales, as well as cooking a cracking Sunday dinner. I can’t wait to go back it’s always a guaranteed winner. I went to one of the special evenings upstairs and it was a quirky take on a traditional British menu, with a twist! Pop in for a pint on a Friday or Saturday evening and there is a real buzz. The outdoor space at the back is very spacious and in the summer there is no where better!

Really wonderful pub and restaurant with and outdoor terrace area. Dog friendly too- can order food in the pub area with a dog (not in the restaurant area). Staff was really friendly and the selection of beverages is ace- cocktails, ales, and more! I went for a good ol’ steak pie and it was great! The chips were big and juicy ! The bone marrow gravy was absolutely ace! The pie was filled with a lot of homemade goodness! My friends got fish n chips and the chicken and Brie pie which was also great! Of course I has to finish off with the a dessert! The crumble was great - very tasty and hearty. Unfortunately the banoffee cake a bit chewy- microwaved? Overall, positive experience and will definitely love to come back to try more!

Go every year for the festive menu, and it never disappoints. Other times of the year, you'll get one of the best pies or Sunday roasts available.

Service impeccable, food was excellent. Bit of a mix up with the food, I did not specify one of the roasts was vegan so 100% my fault. The amazing (short brown hair) lady came over and apologised. No hassle with the swap whatsoever. Will be back again.

What an absolutely wonderful Christmas dinner!! Quite aside from the joy of not having to cook and wash up, we had such a gorgeous time on Christmas Day with the Broadfield team! The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was a warm, relaxed and laid back festive vibe! As always we were made to feel so welcome by everyone and we were chuffed to bits with our Christmas card and gift of handmade cookies πŸ₯° You outdid yourselves - a ho-ho-wholly deserved 10/10!!! Thank you and see you in 2024 πŸŽ„πŸŒŸπŸŽ„πŸŒŸπŸŽ„

First visit to this part of Sheffield. Casta and Boothroyd having done the research started us off in this awsome award winning pub ( for food as well as beer.) It is on the main road. Large and lovely interior with a selection of real ales spread around the large bar so peruse first. Casta chose a New Zealand Pale at 3.8% from the Black Iris brewery. Very good. Large patio beer garden to the rear. A sun trap on this glorious sunny June afternoon. A great find.

Booked a table to have dinner with a lovely friend. Enough people inside to make it interesting, but not over crowded. Had a lovely table, very clean, fabulous menu, difficult to decide what to have to eat, as I haven't been here for a number of years. We were spoilt rotten, lovely bottle of wine to share. My friend had the fish and chips, where as I decided I needed a pie, opted for the Ruby Port and Venison, omg, it was so worth waiting for, and didn't disappoint either. We didn't have a starter or a pud, just felt full, yet comfortable. Attentive staff, very good service, food hot, looked attractive on the plate. I'd definitely recommend, and I shall not be leaving it as long before I return. Thankyou team Broadfield.

One of the best pub food I ever had in Sheffield. Ten out ten, chicken pie was surprisingly great😍 better to share the Ham hock with 2-3 people, such a big portion, tastes lovely too. Staffs are really nice. Overall experience was fantastic. πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’― I will definitely come back again and try different thing on the menu. This is really good for family gathering❀️

It was ok. Pub food with big portions . Nice staff. Big drink menu. I enjoyed my meal. But my partner said his was so so. I couldn't taste it do to allergies. The menu felt meat heavy but I did see vegetarian options and they did have a vegan gravy. The place was packed. I probably wouldn't go back.

Updated 02/08: Upped to a full 5 stars, went again, partner had lamb roast dinner, looked amazing. I saw others having a roast and the Yorkshire's looked huge, so I asked if I could get one on the side of my Steak, Potato, and Hendos pie. Great staff said of course, meal came with a great sized Yorkshire and the pie was filled. Very good, highly recommend. Steak and Hendos pie tasted amazing, one of the best pies I've had! Dessert was a little on the under-flavoured side (had banoffee cheesecake) but overall very good, will go back. Would give 4.5 if I could.
