Been there with my wife and our dog. We found everything for her, bowls, treats and cloth to sleep. Trio Sunday roast was so tender and well made. I probably ate the best yorkshire pudding I have ever eaten in my life. The view from the window is fantastic. The restaurant is fantastic.

First-rate dining experience! The location of the hotel is ideal, as it looks out onto the moors, making for a perfect backdrop. In terms of the service, presentation of the food, taste and price, I really couldn't fault it. Staff were super-friendly and attentative. Our server (Philip) couldn't do enough. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone, and I will definitely be returning. Loved it!

We had an amazing experience! It’s the second time I come here with my family, this time we booked for Sunday Easter and the meal was marvellous! We were served by Keisha who was lovely and very attentive with us. Thank you for all the service and Happy Easter for all the workers of The Peacock, you guys are awesome!

Not got my first selection on starter or main meal. Had my second selection on starter and main. Both were really nice and would order them again without hesitation. Staff were excellent both in service and answering my queries. Would recommend the Peacock every time. Nice atmosphere and excellent surroundings.

We always return back to this local pub/restaurant, the location is nice and the building is very old and pretty. However the food and drinks are very expensive, food is always underwhelming, over cooked, dry, cold or clearly microwaved. The drinks are very weak. They would benefit greatly from just cutting down the menu to a normal basic pub menu, i think less fancy is the way to go with this one cause they do struggle to pull it off everytime. Service is also quite slow even when not busy

Called in the peacock of chance for sunday dinner. We ask a member of staff if they had a table available for food and the lady ask if we had pre booked?if not you was looking 30mins but she did say if you are having a drink we will let you know when a table comes available.one was available after 10mins and then we was shown to the table which we was very much appreciated with them being extremely busy.my wife ordered the pork and I had the trio.the food was delicious 😋.the hard working staff was very polite.there are seating outside with a fabulous view.there is a large carpark to the left and a small over spill carpark.there is also a couple of disabled parking spaces available.we will definitely be calling back again but I will pre book next time.

Dear hosts, we are fellow cricketers from Sheffield who have fond memories of having few beers after our matches down at Peacock since 2018. Yesterday (3 teams) we had a great day at cricket and wanted to have a good pint of beer on the way back. I know tables would have been booked by other guests and we would have just walked into some tables. Not all players were around here. So there would have been some misunderstanding. Going forward will make sure we will follow pub traditions. If at all something to consider, maybe the service could be a bit more warm to foreigners and consider cultural differences while explaining table restrictions. Looking forward to continuing spending our post match pints and valuable £ at your historic pub. Cheers.

Amazing food & service, We were greeted by Louise, who is very customer friendly. We had 3 courses, the garlic mushroom starter on a crumpet was fantastic. We both had a steak toasted sandwich with salad and the flavours & quality were excellent including the steak being very tender. We finished with a mini pud & drink, choosing the mini cheesecake with raspberry coulis & coffee's. We can honestly say that the customer service & food, were worth every penny we paid. Thank you Louise and the rest of the staff, we had a fantastic time and will come again.

We booked a table for a party of 4 on the Saturday before Christmas and had an excellent dining experience. We were greeted at the door by Olly who showed us to our table and took our drinks order, even giving a recommendation for the wine. We ordered a variety of starters and mains and each course and meal was delivered timely and efficiently. The food was good quality and the drink prices were reasonable. The venue was warm, the room appropriately lit and the atmosphere congenial, all adding to make it a pleasant and festive evening. We were really pleased with the venue, the meal and the staff and will definitely return.
