Reviews Broomhead Fish And Chips

Best fish and chips I've eaten in the UK, not just in Crookes. So many people seem tethered to their local chippy and the sub-standard fish and chips being cooked by young teens whose culinary skills are akin to their lowly wage. They are all the same churning out the same tired soggy oily overcooked fish and chips. Broomhead is different, they are good salt of the earth people who care about their food, preparation, flavour and texture. They have years of experience and it shows in the taste.

Traditional chippy, great taste and brilliantly cooked products. Limited opening hours mean there is usually a queue but it really is worth the wait. Those of us old enough to remember when fish and chip shops just sold fish and chips will love Broomheads!

Absolutely the best fish and chips in Sheffield. Owned by a third generation chip shop worker who grew up working in his dad's shop. Cooked in beef dripping the taste beats any other. Simple menu with good portions. I can't spend money at any other chip shop as they don't come close to Broomheads.

Delicious fish and chips - flake juicy piece of fish, tasty batter, brown unctious chips oozing vinegar - best I've had in years
