Very friendly and relaxed service and fantastic, distinctive food. Liked the authentic Lion beer and Arrac whiskey. Simbol really hot as it should be. Really enjoyed it as a change from other Asian cuisine and good value too for the taste and portion size.
Nice food and atmosphere but after booking a table I had 2 phone calls asking if we are coming (yes we are) and 2 friends could not attend at the last moment and they charge a £5 cover for each person. When you spend the amount we did that leaves a poor feeling. I get the reasons but it does not delight your customers.
Lovely place that we stumbled across. Very attentive waiters, interesting menu, many vegan and vegetarian options and great desserts. I'll definitely be back!

Good food, not particularly authentic (coming from a fellow Sri Lankan). Devilled dishes were nice and spicy as they should be (they asked how spicy I’d like it) and the seeni sambol was good too. The desserts were ok, wattalappam had a strange consistency, usually much smoother, this one seemed to have big flakes of coconut in it. The biscuit pudding was a lot more decadent and richer than how they actually do it in Sri Lanka.
Would still recommend a visit for the kottu though, again not very authentic but still so tasty! Not to forget they serve halal chicken too! (can’t remember if the other meat was halal)
Found this place on Deliveroo. We ordered the food as takeaway. Never really had Sri Lankan food before but the flavours were delicious. I ordered the beef devil dish and my god did it not only blow my taste buds but also my mouth. If you like spicy food then this is the meal for you. It was really tasty but hot 🔥. We did the meal for 2 with a bottle of wine and with starters came to £41 so a decent price for a restaurant meal that we had as a takeaway as you do in 2020/21. Would recommend this place as the flavours are great. Will hopefully come back in the near future.

Really glad we found this place on a Sunday evening. Not a chain 🙌🏼, which is a rare feature on Ecclesall road. Authentic Sri Lankan food in Sheffield, can’t fault it. Varied menu, very tasty food, small portions as well as main course available. Very attentive and knowledgeable waitress. Will be back again.
Went this evening with my husband. The starters we ordered were a little disappointing but with good flavour , the mains were excellent we both had ordered Devil curry. Staff and service both good. Not so sure about the wooden seating as its a bit rough on your clothing and uncomfortable. May return in the future.

Pretty pleased with our first visit here. I've just turned vegan AND gluten free (I know! 🥴) but they had a separate section for vegan options on the menu, and they also modified one of the non Ve/GF mains for me so I was really happy.
I had the Jackfruit Devil which was very fresh and spicy. Not a showstopper but very good. My girlfriend had beetroot curry which just tasted awash with dessicated coconut and couldn't taste anything else, so the chef needs to tweak that dish as the coconut is overwhelming.
We had a cocktail each, they were fine, one ok and one rather good. The Burnt Orange wasn't very orangey, but the Havana Raspberry was very tasty indeed.
Venue could use a little more decoration to make it feel a bit more authentic Sri Lankan, it was quite modern and clean aside from one feature wall and the ceiling.
Service was really good, the staff were really kind and friendly and spot on with their attentiveness. Gave them a decent well-deserved tip.
This would be a 3.5 out of 5 really. Will go again at some point, we liked it.
Delicious food and reasonably priced drinks. The garlic roti was the best I have ever eaten. My Devil curry was a little too spicy for my tastes though so next time I will ask for a little less chilli!
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was superb, excellent curry and sundries. It was all fresh and not an ounce of fat on the meat. I can't wait to go again.
I've never had Sri Lankan food before but was really impressed with the Colombo. The staff were very helpful explaining the menu and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back.
