I love this place. I had my wedding reception there, all the staff are friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is relaxed and the prices are reasonable. A young lady called Charlotte sorted everything we asked for and they had plenty of staff available on the night. We'll be going back for our anniversary. Unfortunately my Grandad passed away two weeks before the wedding but The Norfolk Arms kindly allowed me to take a bottle of his whiskey in so everyone could do a shot for him, they even poured the shots out for us.

Love this place, any pub that lets dogs in gets 5 stars from me and we didn't even take our own dog. Food was fab, drinks were fab and last but not least the staff were fab to. Looking forward to the next time. Thank you

Stayed here last night and enjoyed the good sized room, comfy bed and lovely full English breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we'd definitely stay again. 😊 The only negative was being rudely woken up by an inconsiderate woman shouting "everybody get up" at about 6am and then the rest of her party shouting and running around! 😣

We had a fantastic Sunday family lunch for 7 of us here today - scrummy food, good atmosphere, fantastic service - and a huge thank you to the lovely Katrina, who went out of her way to make it as enjoyable as possible for my Dad, who has dementia. Thoroughly recommended :)

I stayed at The Norfolk Arms for one night at the weekend, with my mother and it was really lovely. Our room was clean, comfortable and attractive and the meal we had was delicious. We encountered 4 different members of staff and they couldnt have been more helpful, or friendly. We would definitely go back... a lovely place

We had a meal and a couple of drinks with a couple of friends at lunchtime and I had a lovely bacon and brie panning served with fresh salad and fries, my wife had a cheese and tuna panning with the said salad and fries. A really good tasty lunch and enjoyed by all four of us, the service was excellent and punctual and the waitress was friendly, very efficient and polite and we have no problem recommending the Norfolk Arms for a good lunchtime visit. Pat.

What a breath of fresh air! The Norfolk Arms is everything we could have wished for, dog friendly, a level of hospitality second to none, and the friendliest and most welcoming place we have visited in a long time. Super tasty and perfectly cooked rare rump steak, generous portions, even the scampi which is usually the same everywhere shone through with chips and a tasty side salad! Stopped over night with electric hook up so can’t comment on the rooms, but fabulous views, and a big thanks to (you know who you are!) for the portion of brown sauce. Hope to return before long, and again, thanks to all for making our stay so enjoyable LP&littleDog

Visited the Norfolk Arms on a bustling Saturday at 12:30. The service was exceptionally friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The steak and ale pie was a delight – rich flavors and a perfect pastry. The chips were a standout too. Bonus points for being dog-friendly; a great spot for both two and four-legged friends. Highly recommend this place for a satisfying meal.

Just how a country pub should be and busy with locals. After a days walking in the Peaks we settled here for some delicious ale and a gorgeous pub dinner. Dog friendly and had no issue with us sleeping in the van on the car park! Will visit again.

What a find! The room was excellent, I have mobility problems but they happily accommodated that - spacious, warm, good views and superb bathroom. The bar area was olde worlde, welcoming and very comfortable. The food, too, was very good, with prompt, well plan Ed service. Thoroughly recommend.

We came as a family on a very busy Mother's day. Was incredibly surprised how good the standard was. The food throughout was amazing. Great roast dinner and my seabass was lovely. We were very impressed.

Always a great visit here! Went for breakfast for the first time, opted for the full English (minus black pudding) and it was great. Tasty and so much of it. Staff, as always, were friendly and helpful.

We had lunch here a few days ago and the food and service was excellent; a traditional country pub and they even had Hendersons Relish which made it a 5 star review from me! The prices were very reasonable and the menu choices were varied; will certainly visit again.

We didn't stay over, so I can't comment on the rooms. We visited for lunch on New Year's Day. We had booked a table for a birthday meal for 4. One of our party has mobility issues and uses a rollator like a Walker but with wheels to get around. She insisted on managing with it folded against the safety warnings because everywhere was so crowded. The pub was extremely busy, all the staff were working very hard. It was nice that ?Sue?(short dark hair) came over to wish a Happy Birthday despite the rush, and the young waitress (blonde hair in bun) who took the cake was helpful and attentive despite being rushed off their feet. You can only order at the bar, not the table or via an app. This made the bar really busy and even getting a drink was a long process. The hot drink station was way too small and wasn't coping at all. Food was taking a while, but the busy-ness made that understandable... I just wonder if the atmosphere would have been less chaotic if people had the option of staying seated to order. The food is very simple, Rustic and traditional in style. The pies that two of us had from the specials list had a short/cold water pastry crust that was a bit hard around the edges, and the lovely chicken was in a very bland gravy. The roast potatoes had a decent level of crispness, I should have asked for fresh veg instead of mushy peas. They are very good value if you enjoy that style of cooking. I think it was about £8 each. The best plateful on the table was definitely the scampi... 10 scampis, great chip shop style chips and they disappeared unusually fast for that person! Our other person had fish pie...said it had lots of salmon in it and they really enjoyed it. My only vaguely negative point would be the lady with shorter brown hair behind the bar, who stood out amongst all other staff as being sharp and unwelcoming... maybe it was just a bad day??

In the middle of a mid week walk, we called in for coffee, which was very tasty. Busy lunch time, always speaks volumes mid week In my opinion. A cosy pub, which also welcomes dogs. There is plenty of outdoor space and parking. Super views, too.

Great location to stay - on the edge of Sheffield and Peak District National Park. Great walks nearby and views over the city and can be in the city in 10 -15 mins. Very friendly staff and good menu with good range of options for both breakfast and bar/restaurant menu. Nice to see it was popular with locals too.

Stopped here for some supper when visiting relatives in the area. The Inn was very busy - but we managed to find a table. Ordering the food is done at the bar. There's a good choice of food on the menu - and the portions all looked good sizes when they came out. The staff were all very friendly and efficient, despite it being quite busy. There was a good selection of local ales on offer - along with a good array of alcohol free options. All 3 of us ordered the Steak and Ale pie - with a side order or beer battered onion rings. The food came, piping hot and looked totally delicious. It's the best pie we've had in a long time- decent pastry and a nice flavoursome filling. We were so stuffed - we couldn't fit in desserts. Being right on the doorway to the peaks - there was plenty of cars in the carpark (we had to park off road opposite), just take care - as the local cyclists probably come down the hill quicker than some of the cars! Highly recommend, and we'd look at staying at the hotel also on a future visit.
