The Rising Sun - Sheffield - Photo album

We recently held the reception at The Rising Sun following my Mother's funeral. The staff couldn't have been more helpful making the arrangements. Everything was ready on our arrival, the buffet freshly prepared and brought out hot. The food was plentiful and catered for varied tastes. The area we u
Absolutely fantastic! Had Christmas dinner here with the family today. What can I say! It was absolutely wonderful, succulent turkey and amazing fresh vegetables. The waitress was lovely and couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome. We will definitely be booking for 2024. Thank you for maki
My wife and i thought we'd try the Rising Sun for a change. Everything was OK except for my steak on my mixed grill. I asked for medium but it was really well done like chewing a Wellington boot and my wife had the Duo which is half a chicken and gammon but she only got a chicken leg, apart from tha
Well, where do I start. I can not praise this establishment enough for what they have done for us and our family/friends. We booked a 'Wake' for 25 people and this establishment gave us more than expected. I wasn't very good with the booking on-line so rang them and the land lady sorted it all over
The family and I went here for Christmas dinner. Without a doubt it was the best quality Christmas dinner we have we have ever had away from home. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough to make the day special. Our server Vicky was enthusiastic and genuinely committed to making sure everyon
Staff were very friendly, bathrooms are clean and the atmosphere of the restaurant is great, very cozy and adorably decorated! I ordered the burger which was pretty bland but good and fries which were nice as well. Would come again!
We booked a festive meal for our family to get together and it was very enjoyable. There was a lovely warm fire, radiators were piping hot and we had a nice table in the back room which had plenty of space for us all. The servers were all nice and polite. The portion sizes were very good and more th
The good was amazing, we had the Beef Sunday dinner it was really gorgeous. Soup, Nachos, sticky toffee pudding and apple crumble was lovely too. The land lady is hilarious, stood chatting away to us. Excellent all round xx
Lovely pub, owner and staff very welcoming. The beef Sunday Roast was excellent, tender thick beef on the bone with fantastic gravy. The burgers were juicy and well cooked.
Went there for a funeral wake. Background music was very loud. Didn't like to ask for it to be turned down under the circumstances. But they should realise that people, mostly elderly, want to talk. Food was tasty.
Large traditional pub. Welcomes families. Food. Large car park. Great atmosphere.
Our visit was perfect. We had booked a ‘wake’ and the staff at the Rising Sun made it run like clockwork. We are so grateful for everything you did for us. The food and service were 5*. The staff were so helpful and professional.
Look, my wife and i have been to this friendly pub quite a few times and have always enjoyed ourselves. Good food, quick service, friendly staff, cosy atmosphere. We like it.
A friendly owner and nice well looked after building with good atmosphere. The food unfortunately was awful. The crispy chicken ciabata was cremated to death, black and so dry it was in edible, the ciabata looked suspiciously like a baguette piece, but we were not informed of any substitution. Sha
