Two adults & 3 kids dropped in for tea last night during really busy time & they couldn't do enough to find us a table. Food when ordered was with us in no time to table 21 in the bay window (tad chilly) great food, served hot & drinks great selection & price. Can't wait to return. Kids adored hot chocolate fudge cake..highly recommend folks x

We called in 14/7/17 about 5pm, wasn't busy. Ordered food & drinks. Food didn't take long to arrive. Good quality & plenty on the plates. We ordered 2 mixed grills, 1 cod, chips n peas & 1 steak, ale & mushroom pie. They were all very tasty. Nothing left on the plates at the end only the bone from the chop on mixed grill. We will definitely go again.

Always excellent food and attentive staff. A lovely little gem of a pub - that's why we have been going for the last 10 years plus. Keep up the good work!

Excellent meal as always a meat and potato pie which can't be beaten with fresh homemade chips and treacle sponge and custard for dessert, there's something for everyone even my very fussy 12 year old, we definitely return

Fantastic food, including home made pies. The service is brilliant too. There was a mix up with our large group booking, but they managed to accommodate us without issue. Somewhat unbelievable, but we know The Swan is always a brilliant choice for our family meals.

Lovely pub with great food and a warm welcome. The steak and kidney pie was delicious as was the gammon steak. Very generous portion sizes and the syrup sponge and custard was perfect. Definitely recommend a visit.

I popped into The Swan today for a couple of pints and decided to get a takeaway meal. The place was busy, really busy, and the amount of arriving and departing customers seemed never ending. Even though visibly under pressure the staff were organised, friendly and polite. The food and service were really good and I would highly recommend The Swan for some decent home cooked food in a proper independent pub. (It looks like booking would be a good option though!) Thank you 🙂.

We havnt visited the swan for a while. We were told our table number. We were squashed onto a table for 2 my husband couldnt even swing his legs under the table so ate his food sat sideways.😮. We asked to be moved but was told there was no more available tables. Even though the place was virtually empty. We were eating our food and going. Most tables remained empty as we left. I also asked for mushy peas with my meal and recieved garden. Sort it out the swan. Will be a while before we return..!!!

Great first trip to the Swan. Only giving a 4 out of 5 for the food as so far I've only ticked one item off the menu. Staff were lovely and accommodating even though we had booked a table and the pub quiz was great fun. If a little unique 🤣 See you all soon ☺️

The food is amazing!! A family of 4 had different main courses and 4 different desserts and everything was done brilliantly. The pies were great and desserts were generous compared with what other similar places offer!! All went down with a great traditional pint of beer. Would love to live nearby so it's easy to walk down most evenings and enjoy the atmosphere, food and beverages.

Hadn't visited this pub before so i had a pleasant surprise when i did, i met up with some ex footballing pals for a catch-up on our lives in General. The beer was very good as well, the Barnsley bitter was on form and Dave was waxing lyrical about the Stones bitter too. The others were just on Carling lager but again they said it how well it is kept. Apparently the pies are really good but none of us ate so we have that experience to look forward to. The bar staff were really helpful and polite and helped to make it a really good afternoon and I would recommend the pub to anyone.
