Came for Sunday Lunch with all the family. Great service. Lovely cozy atmosphere with fabulous views across Loxley Valley. Had pate for starters and Lamb shank. Gravy is delicious and tasty and the waiter was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely recommend for a family meal.
We went for a mothers day meal, 6 plus a toddler. The food was beautiful (my calamari was slightly overdone but other than that, the plates were clean! Fairly priced, lovely atmosphere, a wonderful view and most importantly, the staff were brilliant. At one point, they offered to keep one plate of food warm whilst the diner was away from the table. Enjoyed it so much, we are already looking at going again.
Came for a meal with all the family. I had pate followed by turkey for main. The food was beautiful- honestly the best I have had for a long time- tasty, well made and good quality ingredients. The kids meals are very generous and lovely- plenty enough for our teenager! All the staff were polite, thoughtful and welcoming, which added to our experience. An amazing area with spectacular views- we even had a walk to the garden centre down the road to walk our dinner off- peaceful and relaxing. We can't wait to come back. Keep up the good work Admiral Rodney!
I think its a great place with scenery to die for. But we were inside last night, the staff who served us were excellent and the food was delicious. I am not keen on veg but it was really enjoyable and the chicken pie was great too. I had a mini Melba mess and that was but naughty.
Been this evening for a beautiful meal, could not find fault with anything and had a stunning sharing dessert. The whole meal with yum, we just had to wait a little while for food to arrive, but it was definitely worth the wait.
Cannot believe how basic our Sunday roast was, meat, the little we got was dry and unappealing (beef). Portion size for adults was basically the same as child size but double the price. Extremely disappointed with going out of our way to try somewhere different, the result not worth the effort and definitely over priced I have had better quality from common pub carvery at less than half the price. My advice do not bother as we won't in the future.
Been for Xmas lunch today.... Thank you so much to the staff that gave up their day to make our Christmas lunch a very special one... I have honestly never had such a lovely Christmas meal anywhere else and the atmosphere was fantastic we would would definitely go back.... Merry Christmas and thanks again... The simpsons
Love this pub :) the staff are always so polite, friendly and welcoming. (My husband and I had our first date here nearly 5 years ago! � and we come back at least monthly). The food is always yummy (I was sad when the seafood risotto disappeared though �). The atmosphere is vibrant. But if I'm honest I come for the wine at the Admiral Rodney, as alot of the other local pubs are either real ale pubs or ' don't have very good wine' pubs � hope this helps future visitors!

One of my favourite places to go for food. Always top quality and the service is really good to. I personally love the Wagyu burger and the pizzas but the Sunday dinner is also good. Love the desserts to 😂
Great food, friendly and attentive staff and warm inviting atmosphere. Nothing too much trouble. Dog friendly with water and treat table for furry friends. Great view from the spacious outdoor seating. Highly recommend.
Lunchtime catch-up with the most amazing pizzas, one was spicy pepperoni and the other duck with hoisin, divine, and coupled with fries, chunky chips and salad.
We were escorted to a lovely quiet area next to the fireplace by Angela who was so attentive and personable, making the experience even better. The bartender helped carry across our drinks to our table. I'd highly recommend a meal here, especially if you have the App, they have some amazing offers. Don't miss out.
Absolutely delicious food. Excellent curry, and the best vegan butternut squash burger ever! Lovely atmosphere and fantastic views.
Haven't been here for a while but it's still a beautiful pub with delicious food. I had the belly pork and it was so good!

Cannot fault the great service and friendly staff. We were served by Angela and Courtney who could have done enough. They were attentive and courteous amazing home cooked fresh food. Generous portions. Nice homely feel next to the open fire. Dogs are also welcome. Highly recommend.
A wonderful pub and restaurant. Great food, service and drinks. Highly recommended to all walks of life. Amazing views to add.
All bar staff were fantastic. It was very busy but not overcrowded. Definitely see you again soon.
Admiral Rodney: Grood Food and Friendly Service
We had lunch at Admiral Rodney and were pleasantly impressed. I ordered the lasagna, which was rich and cheesy with a hearty meat sauce—delicious! My friend got the pizza, which had a crispy crust and plenty of fresh toppings.
The highlight of our visit was our waitress, Angela. She was attentive, cheerful, and made sure we had everything we needed. It's always great to have service with a smile, and Angela delivered.
Overall, Admiral Rodney is a good spot for lunch with views over the valley. The food is good, and the staff, especially Angela, makes you feel right at home. We'll definitely be back!
Really delicious food. I can highly recommend the aubergine gratin. The chips were also perfectly crispy and soft inside. Lot's of great touches like the real fire, the real flowers on tables and friendly service. Good value too ... £30 each for 2 drinks (each), a main and half a shared desert. Just needs a better range of ales, but it was a lovely relaxing evening.
We go to the admiral Rodney a lot and have always had such a good experience and haven’t had any issues. Today we went and got served by tom who was so sweet and kind. He always kept checking up on us to make sure we were okay and that the food was okay which we found amazing. Really good experience from Tom and he was so chatting and cheerful with us really had a good experience.
