We received a voucher for Mowgli as a gift from family, one of these family being the Google reviewing legend Alan Shepherd himself! We have eaten at Mowgli before, and we really enjoyed everything about our visit, and I must say that quite the opposite to the attempted dark take on the Jungle book films, this Mowgli did not disappoint! I would recommend the Bunny chow, whereas my partner said her favourite dish was the butter chicken! We ordered 2 starters, 3 “main dishes” and 2 rice dishes between us and this was a good amount of food with the portion sizes being on the smaller side I assume due to this being street food inspired. We didn’t leave a tip following our visit today but that is no reflection on the service we received, rather a reflection on my own tightness, and my disliking to the “service charge” culture we seem to be adopting from across the pond! Anyway, 5/5 for our trip to Mowgli, would recommend!
This place is amazing! My new favourite restaurant. It's not too expensive and the food is absolutely delicious. I'm yet to find a dish I don't like! The menu needs to be studied, as the meals are not like your typical Indian takeaway. All dishes are explained, but you won't find your tikka or korma on there. The staff are fantastic at explaining the menu and how it works, and nothing is too much trouble for them. As an added bonus, the restaurant feels so cozy with lots of fairy lights and you may also get to sit on a swing while you eat. Sounds a little crazy, but it works! I've now visited this restaurant multiple times and cannot wait to return!
The decoration inside is so cute, it was what made us want to try the restaurant. Food was so tasty, the monkey wrap was especially good. We also got the butter curry, and 2 mocktails. The portion size is perfect for lunch, they’ll advise you that the plates aren’t too big so to get a couple of things if you’re wanting a bigger meal. They also add a service charge and £1 charity donation onto the receipt but they'll tell you it is optional.
We enjoyed the food amazing here every time we've been and so do our kids. The allergen menus was fabulous and make life really easy for us that are gluten & dairy intolerant.
The service is always friendly and helpful.
The atmosphere is lovely, we've sat at regular tables & at swings ones.
Nice drinks menu too includng great mocktails.
Recommend booking, as it can get busy.
It's a treat but well worth the trip into Sheffield for food from here.
Great Indian street food-inspired food with lots of very tempting veggie and vegan options. The lovely atmosphere ties in with the street food vibe with nice lighting and wood and metal details. Great service, staff are very helpful.
Between two we went for about 6 small dishes which was more than enough and everything was great. The chip butty and fish curry were definitely my favourites, so flavoursome and delicious. As were the yoghurt chat bombs, never had anything like them! Nice cocktails too, with Indian-inspired flavours.
great experience at Mowgli. we ordered everything to share which would recommend doing as you get to try a bunch of things. had chat bombs for the first time here and they were great, definitely a standout. also the ‘fries’, trust me they sounds strange but are so so tasty. then we got roti, butter chicken and rice which was all very solid. portion sizes were not the biggest but we still left feeling full. the cocktails were great too, quite innovative. probably not the most value for money meal but everything was so tasty so im not too bothered.

What a little gem of a place! We were staying in sheffield for 2 nights to celebrate my 2 nieces birthdays. One picked mowgli to eat at the first night we were there. We were greeted by a lovely member of staff. To be fair, every staff member that dealt with us was all smiles and super friendly! We were seated at the swing table which we loved! The food came out hot, fresh and delicious! We had cocktails and my niece tried the orange wine, which she liked. We ordered too many dishes to name but trust me, every one was gorgeous! The disappointing thing is we live too far from sheffield to return!
Mowgli Street Food in Sheffield offers a decent dining experience. While the food is tasty, it falls slightly short in terms of authenticity, as it's less spicy than traditional Indian cuisine. However, their mango lassi and mutton dishes stand out positively. One downside was the dry rice, which could have been better. And, compared to the portion size they offer it’s a bit overpriced. Overall, it's a good place to enjoy a flavorful meal with a few minor improvements.

We had a lovely evening at Mowgli’s celebrating my wife’s birthday a couple of weeks ago. The food was delicious and service friendly and welcoming. I’d particularly like to thank Emily who looked after us really well, particularly with recommendations and all the questions we asked about the menu. We’re looking forward to coming back very soon.
A fantastic concept executed well, with unique and delicious food perfect for adventurous eaters that want to mix and match their dishes. Had 4 dishes with 2 sides, and not a single thing fell below standard. Would reccomend.
I booked a table for my family: we all ordered different starters. First time ever have I heard my mum say hmm very nice and tasty. Then to the mains of different curries this place is a gem.. We all enjoyed the food served 10 out of 10. The service was fantastic. I think the young lady who served was Emma? Brilliant. Highly recommend. We will be back and thank you
Our first time at Mowgli and it was incredible. The food was delicious, the chat bombs were a personal favourite in our family! Our server Emma was fantastic, super knowledgeable of the menu and helped us pick out some of the best dishes. She was attentive without being overbearing, so thank you! Will definitely be back!x
Really great experience. Service was really friendly and super fast. Everyone really loved their food and my cocktail was great as well. Good selection of plant based food and it was really great that the allergen information was on the back of the menu. The atmosphere was also lovely and the decor was excellent! Will absolutely be coming back!
I absolutely love this delightful place. I had the most delicious dishes one being chat bombs - never knew that was a dish hehe. The atmosphere was so much fun however almost fell of the swings… all made my first date even more enjoyable. We had a delightful waiter, Evie who couldn’t have done a better job at making us feel welcome. All over a great place!!
Came in the other night for my wife's birthday. We loved the food, especially the lamb chops. Great service from the Greek waitress, she was very helpful and accommodating to me and my family. It was my wife's bday and she gave us a birthday brownie on the house, it made our night. Would definitely visit again!!!
Had such a lovely meal here. The food was incredible and as a vegetarian there was so much option - my favourite is the paneer curry! The atmosphere was great and our server Emily couldn’t have been more helpful and patient! Would definitely recommend!
