Ended up here at short notice after another place fell through. Couldn't have been more hospitable. The food was great, portions are massive and exactly what the doctor ordered! Service was excellent! Will definitely be back.

We ate here twice, but really it feels like a pub for locals. The service was very friendly and efficient, even when super-busy on our second visit. The tables were cleaned between customers. The food portions were generous (way more than I could eat!) and they arrived at the table nicely hot. The pub is in two sections for food. First visit was on the left, a smart area with comfy seats that looks like it was recently renovated. The ceiling is fairly high, so it was never too noisy. We asked if we could eat there when we booked for the following night, but they were either too busy or else forgot. The other area is kind of the opposite of everything above!!

Fantastic service. Booked at very short notice for 6 people on a bank holiday Monday. My mum walks with the aide of a stick. Our table was ideally situated near the entrance, the loo & the bar. The food was well presented & tasted very nice. All staff were friendly, polite & very helpful. A 5* experience.

Enjoyed a very tasty Sunday lunch carvery. After a walk around Dam Flask we thought we'd have food at the Plough, fortunately we managed to get a table but we were lucky as they were practically fully booked and had to disappoint some people. I would recommend pre-booking to guarantee a table.

My friend and I popped in here for a bite to eat today, a Monday lunch time. They offered several meals on a lunch menu for £5 each. Not long after we ordered, our food was brought out nice and hot. My friend had egg, chips and beans, I had pie chips and peas. Pretty good value these days. Can't beat it.

Really delicious food this evening. The menu has some fantastic options and loads of choice for vegetarians and vegans. The staff are lovely and a very welcoming place for dogs.

So where to start.. heard amazing things about this pub but tonight had the pleasure of having my own. Arrived with no. Prebooking which was a risk of its own and especially this time of year 2 be greeted by 2 lovely lasses . Who cleared us a table as we for a drink from the bar. Excellent service from a fine gentleman with a great sence of humour and some good ol banter. Food was incredible Worth every penny cooked to perfection. Service with a smile I honestly cant recommend this olace enough i will be back. Thank you for an amazing night xx
