Ended up here at short notice after another place fell through. Couldn't have been more hospitable. The food was great, portions are massive and exactly what the doctor ordered! Service was excellent! Will definitely be back.
We ate here twice, but really it feels like a pub for locals. The service was very friendly and efficient, even when super-busy on our second visit. The tables were cleaned between customers. The food portions were generous (way more than I could eat!) and they arrived at the table nicely hot. The
Lovely warm welcome on a foul day, called for a couple of drinks while out walking. Lots of people eating,all looked good. Very nice place!
Fantastic service. Booked at very short notice for 6 people on a bank holiday Monday. My mum walks with the aide of a stick. Our table was ideally situated near the entrance, the loo & the bar. The food was well presented & tasted very nice. All staff were friendly, polite & very helpful. A 5* exper
Enjoyed a very tasty Sunday lunch carvery. After a walk around Dam Flask we thought we'd have food at the Plough, fortunately we managed to get a table but we were lucky as they were practically fully booked and had to disappoint some people. I would recommend pre-booking to guarantee a table.
My husband and I visited here while on holiday, we had a fantastic meal. Would highly recommend, we returned later in the week and had another excellent meal. Couldn’t fault anything
My friend and I popped in here for a bite to eat today, a Monday lunch time. They offered several meals on a lunch menu for £5 each. Not long after we ordered, our food was brought out nice and hot. Really delicious food this evening. The menu has some fantastic options and loads of choice for vegetarians and vegans. The staff are lovely and a very welcoming place for dogs.
So where to start.. heard amazing things about this pub but tonight had the pleasure of having my own. Arrived with no. Prebooking which was a risk of its own and especially this time of year 2 be greeted by 2 lovely lasses . Who cleared us a table as we for a drink from the bar. Excellent service
Dog friendly pub on the edge of dam flask Ideal for finishing off a good walk. Great food,home made pies with proper chips, good selection of beers, nice garden Great staff.
