Visited here Wednesday for dinner with my parents and some family friends for a belated birthday meal... We reserved a table by phone, just to be safe, they open for lunch, then reopen at 6pm. The place hasn't changed a bit since I last visited - probably 10 years ago! Very old fashioned/70's style place, but very well looked after and very clean and tidy. We had a couple of beers at the bar, ordered our food from the a la carte menu, and picked our wines. Shortly after we were seated. For starters we ordered; Garlic Mushrooms, Calamari, Prawns, and the Scampi. All our starters were great. Fresh food and clean plates returned to the kitchen. For mains we ordered; The Lord Buckingham Fillet Steak (medium/rare), Chicken Strogonoff, I think the Lemon Sole, and I think the Fillet Steak Diane, and another Fillet Steak (medium). This was all delivered straight from the kitchen, silver service style at its finest. All the dishes came with roast potatoes, carrots and cauliflower cheese. The fillet steak came with fried onions, grilled tomatoes and grilled mushrooms. Amazing. The best steak I've had in years hands down! Couldn't knock any of it. We had a few bottles of Rioja gran reserva, and a couple of bottles of white wine. Will be back again for sure. Steaks were about £23 - would pay £30 any day! Their menus are online as is the phone number to book. Thanks again!

Traditional British style restaurant with great food cooked to a high standard and served in a comfortable environment. Any special requests catered for. There are not so many restaurants like this with silver service around at the moment and it was a joy to go to. Everyone in our group was very well satisfied and fully enjoyed their meals. It made for a very pleasant evening all round.

Would highly recommend a visit Me and my partner visited last night (06/04/24) We booked a table which I would highly recommend as it was very busy on arrival. We were seated quickly on arrival. We were seated in the conservatory area in the corner. The decor is very nice and modern and the atmosphere was very nice although very loud from other customers. The ordering process is very simple and quick, the waitress took our drink order then returned to take our food order. Drinks arrived in around 10 minutes after order. I'm an avid Guinness drinker, and the pint of guiness from here was probably up there with the best pint I've had. It was that nice. I ordered a second. The menu is quite simple and offers a small selection per section. The food arrived in around 40 minutes from order to eat, although it was very busy with all the tables taken, so it is understandable about the wait. The food was 10 out of 10 and well worth the wait. The steaks were both cooked to perfection. I had Medium Rare, and my partner had Medium Well. I ended my meal with a sticky toffee pudding that was very tasty and not overly sweet. Overall it was a really nice experience and very nice food. The negative parts Parking - It's clearly not the venues fault for parking, as there's no where they could offer customers parking. We parked just down the road on the street without an issue. The noise - Again not the venues fault as they can't control how loud people talk. If you're overly sensitive to noise, I'd say give it a miss on a busy day

If your ever over Sheffield way on then I encourage you to pay a visit to The Dore bar and grill. Recently renovated and under new management this place is 10/10. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating considering we were running late by just over an hour, I did keep them informed mind. They have a nice sized area outside where you can choose to eat but it was a little fresh today so we opted to dine indoors. Inside is decorated lovely with lots of floral displays and stylish wallpaper. The menu has a lot to choose from and for starters the choice was King Prawn cocktail and the Burrata both of which were lovely. As for mains as we were there on a Sunday it would have been rude not to try out their Sunday Roast platter and it didn’t disappoint. On our next visit I would be tempted to try one of their other sharing boards as they sound mouth-wateringly tasty too.

Just what Dore Village needed, a decent place to go and have drinks and food in a modern and welcoming setting. A fantastic outdoor space which in the summer is an absolute sun trap! Watch out as those bottles of AIX go down too well when you’re relaxing in the sun! Food was ok, was the first week when I went so would like to go again soon and try some more of the menu.

This place never fails to disappoint! My mum and I absolutely love it here, the welcome, staff, service, food and atmosphere is everything that we want when we catch up for lunch. Today we both had the fish and chips which was delicious and the batter on the fish was perfect, so crisp and crunchy just how a batter should be! Thank you once again Beks and team, we will see you very soon. XX

An excellent meal again , fabulous service as always. Restaurant was full which made the atmosphere warm and friendly. Only minus was the disparage over the offer --- Web site said 50% off all of January, when booking checked this was the case, on arrival manageress said it was only Monday to Thursday, no mention of this anywhere at all. However honored the booking so all was well. Would thoroughly recommend as an upmarket meal out.

1st time visitor, spent a generous while drinking great coffee and eating a great meal. Full-table service even in the bar area was courteous and attentive. Under new management, the new patron is ever-present and quietly and effortlessly in-command of a beautifully presented and suitably-relaxed environment. Perfect place to relax and recoup; once inside you could literally be anywhere your mind desires. Definitely returning here.. you will not be disappointed 5****

The starters were nice, but the main was insane! The best fillet steak with king prawns I’ve ever had. And the dauphinois chips are unreal! 👌🏽

We booked for brunch, I requested a table suitable for mum as she has limited mobility, and they saved us a lovely table just by the door. Food and service are equally great. Well worth a visit
