Had a really good meal - brilliant lunch time menu choices and as always the cheese burger didn't let me down and I have to say the staff were to accommodating towards my little boy. As soon as we walked in they got him a "special chair" brought over plastic cutlery and books to keep him occupied and spoke to him and made him feel very comfortable. No funny looks with that "oh great a toddler" vibe - really lovely and welcoming. Thank you �
It is the best burger bar in South Yorkshire for all the family! The cheese sauce is to die for the staff are lovely ....... Everyone works really hard to get the 'show on the road'. Food is very reasonable , hot tasty and fresh. Can't fault it .... Fabulous little train to keep the kids amused..... Have been going since God was a lad �� xx

Been going to Uncle Sam's for donkeys years! Absolutely love it, as does the whole family. Really friendly staff and the best cheese sauce and Double trouble fudge cake you can find ��!!
This place hasn't changed in the entire time I've been coming here (which is about 35 years). And that's a Good Thing! It has always had the right mix of atmosphere and great food. The quality is top notch, and it's all reasonably priced.
I went there as a kid, I took my first date there as a teenager, and now I take my kids. You can't say better than that.

Well been coming here for ever (32 years+) with my then boyfriend and now husband and our kids, not kids anymore so now finally get to bring my gorgeous grandson, so long and on goes our family traditions love the staff more than some of my family �... ���

Saturday lunch
Used to come here years and years ago and remembered the train that goes around. Found myself on Ecclesall Road and saw it and thought wonder if it is still as good. YES it is, food Lesley and plenty of it, excellent service. Will definitely not leave it as long next time.
We stopped for lunch on Ecclesall road at Uncle Sams burger house,where I had eaten many years before.
the place is just as good as it always was ,and I was glad to see the train going round on the tracks above our heads still.
The burger with white cheese (a closely guarded secret apparently)is world class and delicious.The relish tray was left on our table and we enjoyed the busy bustle of the place.
Great service and good value .Enjoyed it immensely.

I've been visiting Uncle Sams since I was in a High-chair and a bib, over 20 years ago and I don't recall being dissatisfied once! the food is the usual american diner fayre. The burgers are flamegrilled and hefty, the cheeseburgers come with a cheese sauce that's like nothing I've had anywhere else (it might not be to everyones taste but I love it!). I definitely recommend a 'Nachos supreme' (to share) for a starter - fresh tortilla nachos (not dorito-type rubbish you get elsewhere) loaded with chilli con carne, sour cream, guacamole, jalepenos and melted cheese. The decor holds nostalgia for me, though may be considered dated/cluttered to others. Tables can't be booked in advance so its a case of waiting in the bar when busy, which it often is, but I think its worth the wait!
Uncle SAMs, like some American resturants in sheffield, can be a bit hit and miss but they make a hearty chilli to spicy nachos. Good 6/10

This was our 1st time and I called to book as we were in the area and wanted to make sure there was availability.
The Lady was very helpful and I asked about Parking which depends on the time of day so allow extra time after 6pm can park for free on the main road,

Absolutely loved this place! Great food and lovely staff (however much they're paid, it isn't enough). Had a veggie chili burger, partner had the Baltimore burger. Floats and shakes were on point. Prices bargain for what you get. We will be back!

We love this place. Everything from the service right through to the food is fantastic. After all these years, it’s still consistently busy which says more than a few words on a review ever will.
Food and service were excellent, reasonably priced definitely will be going again. Highly recommend the pizza, margarita as a base but can add various toppings to make your own.
