As part of a group of friends we all really enjoyed another fantastic meal last night. We recently enjoyed the Cuban menu and decided the Levantine menu sounded interesting, and didn’t disappoint.
The meze starter was beautifully presented on plates to share between two, the flavours were all really excellent, the main course, again served in bowls to share was equally tasty, especially the lamb dish and the finishing desert of cheesecake with an amazingly crunchy topping finished off another great meal.
We shall definitely return to try another of their Friday menus.
We went here for breakfast today, specifically because of the vegan options. We were not disappointed, the vegan full English breakfasts we had were fantastic, everything tasted fresh and good, and I thought the portion sizes were perfect. My smoothie was also delicious �. We sat outside as it was sunny, but the inside looked lovely. The staff were also friendly, highly recommended, thanks �, this was just what we needed!
My husband and I popped in for breakfast on Sunday. We were drawn to the cafe due to the vegan menu carefully put together by the proprietor. The food did not disappoint. Lovingly prepared & absolutely delicious! We ordered 2 vegan breakfasts ( the pimped beans were outstanding!), a cappuccino with soya & a double espresso which we enjoyed out in the tiny patio in the sunshine. The service was friendly & the prices very reasonable. It is wonderful to see smaller independents catering for vegan dietary requirements. Thank you
Great veggie and vegan options. My husband had the full veggie breakfast and i had tofu scramble with toast and vegan feta style "cheese" both served with a tasty sweet potato bubble and squeak patty. The bistro night menu sounds tasty and they had a vegan lemon cake i was too full to try so i will definitely be back!
Got a voucher off Groupon and was so worth the money. Had the full English and was probably one of the best if not the best iv ever had. Lovely little cafe run by a lovely, friendly and enthusiastic owner. Will definitely visit again.
Bessie's bistro nights are really something special. Delicious food, great atmosphere, well worth a visit.
The Groupon voucher photograph for Bessie's looked very appealing. The reality did not disappoint! Lovely host, lovely food. I always judge a Full English first by the quality of the sausage. No let down here nor with the excellent black pudding. Everything was cooked perfectly. I only drink one cup of coffee a day these days, unless it's very good and I cannot resist. Proved to be an irresistible 2 coffee day. Great find, will be going back. Do yummy looking bistro nights too.

Popped in today for a quick coffee before an appointment and was absolutely delighted to discover that my old friend Bessie was the owner of this gorgeous little place that's just on my doorstep. Not only did I get to catch up with a great girl I also got to sample the quality service and lovely environment. I will 100% be back to sample the food as everything looks incredible. I will definitely be recommending Bessie's to my friends. Well done girly ���
Lovely little hidden gem.Very welcoming and surprisingly big inside. There is an extra room upstairs, ideal for functions etc. We had a lovely coffee and lunch there. We will be going again for sure��

Visited Bessie's for lunch yesterday, cosy, lovely friendly staff. We are both vegan and had the BEST chai latte ever, and an absolutely delicious fry-up, with pancakes and maple syrup for pudding. Would definitely recommend!

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, and Bess is the friendliest of hosts. The food evenings are amazing. You won't leave unsatisfied!

The food here is lovely! They put the time and effort into it and the quality of ingredients is second to none! They have completely stolen us as costumers and now I won't go anywhere else for my breakfast! Love them x
Absolute perfection! What a fabulous little place. The food was delicious, the Prosecco yummy (especially the elderflower Prosecco), the atmosphere lovely and Bessie was very accommodating and wonderful. A perfect birthday morning! Highly recommend. Thank you xx
Lovely place - went with my sister and Bessie said she could bring her dog in (it was raining or we would have sat outside). I had a brunch bagel which was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend.
Booked the valentine meal at Bessie's last night and it was amazing the food was excellent and the atmosphere and service was top class. Its really good to see local small business going from strength to strength. Look our for the world bistro nights they are also amazing and well worth booking. Fabulous time had by all for my friend Alison's Baby Shower. Food was delicious as was the mocktail, staff lovely who did a great job of looking after us. It was lovely to have the upstairs totally to ourselves making the occasion intimate and special. Thank you so much Bessie Xx

Quirky little cafe, very tasty meals, super friendly staff. Not very big so quite intimate, love that they do special bistro nights, need to book though
