Our son took us here for brunch on Saturday, what a lovely place, great service from friendly staff. The food was very good and a little variation on my food was no trouble to them. Hopefully we can go again next time we visit our son in Sheffield. 😃
This is our third visit to The Gatehouse, Kelham Island. M e and hubby have been for brunch, which was excellent. We brought out son, who was visiting from London, for a light lunch and a beer/prossecco. Today we just fancied a sandwich, I had the Spinach Spanish omelette, 👍 hubby had a Fish finger sandwich. Very ordinary, you might think, but it wasn 't !! Never heard anyone say that a f f sandwich was superb!!! My husband did.😀 Another customer had half her sandwich boxed up to take home.

Popped in for a bite of lunch on a Friday. Pretty busy but made very welcome by the staff.
My philly cheese steak sandwich was delicious as were the onion rings and fries.
Looking forward to going back.

The interior is very cozy and nice. The music is not too loud and is controlled by a real jukebox.
The coffee and sweets are amazing! The food should be delicate as well, judging by the stunning look, but I hadn't tried it.
Great place, long working hours, very atmospheric.
The atmosphere is perfect for studying or relaxing on a late morning, the sandwiches were very nice and well portioned.
The sweet items were interesting (cruffins etc) and actually very nice. A perfect place to go if you want to sit somewhere inviting whilst you study/catch up with friends

Nice place. Great coffee and really nice atmosphere. Good music playing but not too loud so you could chat easily. Staff friendly too. Well worth a visit.

Eaten here a few times, everything has always been super yummy, whether breakfast or lunch.Their dinners are particularly good. Really good selection of drinks.

Great friendly and fast service and really good drinks. Their cortado is one of the best I ever had. The ambience is quite nice and they have a working jukebox 😉
Lovely bar, where I did a fun macramé workshop. The cocktails were nice and 2 for £10 until 8pm during the week. 👍
Clean, modern trendy place with limited seating so might be best to book. Food is really nicely presented, all fresh and well cooked.
Great Sunday brunch today with the family. Everyone's food was excellent - bacon sandwich, full breakfast waffles, sausage sandwich, all fab!
Very pleasant ambiance and good selection on the menu. Menu a little bit on the pricy side, but I'll reserve judgement until I've sampled their nosh.
First time at the gatehouse, booked for afternoon tea,, me and my husband wasn't disappointed afternoon tea best ever, staff lovely and friendly, prices good not expensive, good location, definitely going back, already booked for lunch at the gatehouse
Very nice place but only the second time there and its always been cold. Today fathers day door at the side of the bar fully open at 9 am !!
