Can’t recommend this place enough. The food and service was amazing, nothing was too much trouble for our server. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our meal - my steak was nicer than previous I’ve had from Miller & Carter. The only slight negative about our visit was that we were charged £4.20 for a single shot of vodka to be added to a mocktail. There was no hint of alcohol in the drink whatsoever so I was a bit disappointed being charged a total of £9.20 for a glass of fruit juice - I even said to our server that I thought they’d forgot to add the vodka completely before being reassured that a shot had been added. That however was a very minor issue and doesn’t take away from that fact that we had a fab evening and we’re looking forward to our next visit.

Went for a family birthday meal and could not fault anything. Knowledgeable staff showed us the raw meat and fish choices from the display and decided on the Moss Valley Pork chop which is not something I would normally choose but it was perfectly cooked and amazing. Between the six of us we tried many things on the menu and had all 3 courses. All food and service was first class. Thank you.

Visited on Friday night with friends - cool bar area for pre dinner drinks with a great selection of local beers. We shared starters, mains and sweets - all were excellent but the lamb and hake stood out. Wine selection is simple but well selected and almost too reasonably priced In summary - unpretentious, fabulous food with great staff in a laid back atmosphere. If Ozzie / Yorkshire fusion food wasn't a thing - it is now ! Highly recommended

I'm not usually one to write reviews, however I felt compelled to do so, after a fantastic meal. Firstly, there is an excellent range of fresh and (where possible) local produce. Perhaps the only downside to the visit was deciding what to eat, as it all sounds delicious. I had the sherry vinaigrette oysters to start, which were incredibly fresh and well prepared. For main I went for the Moss Valley fillet of pork and selected a side of crushed Jersey Royals and garlic butter sauce. Again, the pork was of the highest quality, which left my tastebuds questioning if the meat you buy from supermarkets is actually real. Aside from the food there is also an extensive range of beers brewed in Sheffield. The service throughout was exemplary; attentive, friendly and engaging. Butcher & Catch is an excellent addition to Broomhill’s ever expanding food and drinks scene and I can’t wait to go again.

We popped in recently for a meal early evening and had the Fish & Fizz Friday menu. The baked fish catch of the day was absolutely delicious. To be recommended.

Absolutely Phenomenal. Compliments to the chef ... the last time I had sea food that amazing I was in Portugal about 6 years ago. Everything was fresh ! The oysters were exquisite and with 3 ways to choose from, the Battered oysters were a joyful experience. The Scottish muscles starter, so generous is the portion there was enough for two. A big cob of sourdough bread was plentiful to mop up the amazing sauce after devouring the fresh tasting muscles. And then the main... My wife had the duck which was out of this world a generous portion and everything on the plate accompanied one another perfectly. And the seafood linguine ... out of this world, I had to go Portugal to taste anything so sensational and 6 years on I have finally found somewhere that smashed it completely. The restaurant is a lovely modern vibe with floral decor and a sun lit window view to enjoy I was definitely taken back to a place like Portugal. The service was polite and friendly and the selection of drinks was acceptional, i would personally recommend the passion fruit punch or if you are driving the elderflower fizz is a refreshing treat. For a date night for two coming in at just over £80.00 for what we had i think is well worth it and we will come back again soon. 10/10

Visiting Sheffield for a few days and as the restaurant was close to our accommodation we decided to give it a try. Early evening so was very quiet. Friendly welcome from waitress who was a star throughout our visit. Menu reflects the restaurant name with a catch of the day, sea breem on the bone which was eccellent. Overall the food was of a good standard. Prices are a bit high but not over the top. Nice experience overaĺl

Lovely food and staff. There for a special birthday. Steak great, ditto for cod loin, scotch egg and chocolate and cherry cheesecake. Only reduced stars due to the number of items they'd run out off, food and drink, by 8pm on Saturday evening and wanting to take plates away from some before others at table had finished.

Went on a Saturday evening, quite busy on arrival but a few available tables. Unfortunately we were seated just outside the toilets with no other diners so the atmosphere was lacking as well as distracting having a large amount of people walk past (no smell though or I would have asked to move). Were offered drinks and table water which was nice. Ordered food but had been at our table a good 45 mins before our starter of oysters arrived, but the mains soon followed and were lovely. Looked fantastic, good size portions and tasted very good. We will visit again as the staff were fantastically friendly and attentive and the menu looks so tasty. I will ask to be in the main room next time though.

Excellent from start to finish, good, unfussy service. Food came promptly and all was superb. The pork belly bites were something else and the Halibut was cooked to perfection. Great little location, good selection of wines and cocktails. Can't recommend this place enough!

I have eaten at ‘Butcher and Catch’ a few times and would regard this restaurant as one of my favourite places to eat in Sheffield. Food has always been awesome, served quickly and lovely staff. Just an easy, relaxing place to eat with a great menu and fairly priced!

I had a very pleasant trip to Butcher and Catch this weekend. I started off with the cheese fondue which is essentially a baked camembert, with a supply of tasty bread, potato’s and tomatoes for dipping…. You can’t really go wrong. My main course consisted of halibut and clams seasoned very nicely and I finished with a Bailey’s and chocolate dessert. This last dish was probably the only course I would like to see some improvement to as I struggled to taste the Baileys. Overall a great place to visit considering the prices.

Delicious food and great service! The menu made me want to try everything. I ended up having the steak and prawns. Pricey but amazing! The steak just melted in my mouth. The others in my party had the duck and both said it was perfect. Broomhill is turning out to be Sheffield's best food quarter.

Good early bird and other weeknight specials. We had the early bird two course for 15.95 - this got us a rump, chippy chips and lemon tart. We also had the starter special of beef arancini and pork shoulder bao. The steak was a bit tough and pork a tad bit sweet, but otherwise satisfying meal.

A really excellent place to eat some lovely food in Sheffield. We did have to wait a little to get seated and the food took quite a while to be brought out but it was worth it! I had the fillet beef and it was really nice. Ordered some starters and a side because I wasnt sure it was going to be enough and I kind of regret it because I hated leaving anything on the plate as it was so nice. At the end of the night we planned to leave a tip but didn't realise we ran out of change! So apologies! Will definitely be returning!

Good selection of meats and dish, we went for a mix for two, the portion was huge and we like our food alot. You dont need to order starters as we did, more than enough and I thought it was a reasonable price. My vegitarian daughter had very limited options though, so not great if your veggie to be honest. Would recommend for meat and fish eaters though for sure.

I always have good meals here. The belly pork was exceptional. If I could I'd give them just under 5 stars - the scallops were very nice but quite expensive for the quantity and the balsamic onions really didn't work - shouted down the more nuanced flavours. But the rest of the dish was very good, and the ambience and service are great, so wouldn't be fair to go down to 4 stars.

What a wonderful menu. So hard to choose. We had 4 different starters and 4 different mains, and sampled a bit of each others'. Could happily have eaten any of the dishes, they were all delicious.
