We have been here for lunch every time we have been to Sheffield since we tried the food here for the 1st time a few months ago! It is absolutely the best and most tasty food we have eaten. If I lived in Sheffield I’d eat here EVERYDAY! Now I only dream about it! Try it! You won’t regret it... you will definitely be back for more!Very reasonably priced and worth every penny! The owner is so warm and friendly.
Dev and his team are fantastic, I wasn't sure what I fancied & I had a little selection of each meat, rice and veggie option to try. My meal was wholesome, great value and utterly delicious Hungry Buddha's Massala Tea is to die for perfect to wash down my amazing lunch - I cannot recommend the food enough! The Hungry Buddha staff are so friendly and even if you're new to Nepalese food (like me) they will help you choose something to suit your tastes. Perfect
After seeing my boss go for weeks, I had the money to finally try the food. Wow five stars isn't enough, the food was amazing and the service was good. I have a party in my mouth wow. Definitely my new favourite place to eat I'm Sheffield. Can't wait to come back.
Amazing food...great price and lovely staff....my fave place to eat in Sheffield. ..stunning! :)
Really authentic Nepali food and absolutely lovely staff. I come here as much as I can!
Really enjoyed the vegetarian food today. They have cute mini version for kids too which my kids loved. My 7 year old who has been to Nepal before said this is just like what he ate there. Generous portion for adults and kids eat free! Looking forward to try out the veg momos next.
Such good food, at a very reasonable price. Definitely recommend and will certainly return.
Me and my friend ate at Hungry Buddha for the first time today. We were both very impressed. The food was amazing and the service was friendly and kind. I was looking forward to eating here, but it was even better than I expected. Definitely recommend, and looking forward to coming back for more :) x
Hungry Buddha really made me more than hungry and I finished my whole meal less than 5 mins (Double speed than I used to have) ..Really enjoy it and can't wait for my next visiting ;)
Amazing food, fantastic staff and great value for money
Love this place! Wish it were a proper restaurant and open all the time
went here for the very first time. I was surprised with the food quality - very hearty and gives a homemade feeling. the guy who served us was very cheerful and lovely. good portion for the price as well.
I absolutely loved this place. Stand out from the rest of the restaurant/cafes adjacent to it. Felt homely, like back in India. The way they served meals in the steel plates was a wonderful gesture of making me feel I'm back at my home. The 'bit of everything' meal is a really great deal. Can't brag, Sushmita gave us a wonderful service without compromising on anything. I definitely recommend this place to try in Sheffield.
"Absolutely stellar! The Hungry Budda takeaway in Sheffield's Moor Market serves the most divine curries I've ever tasted. Each dish bursts with authentic flavors and is cooked to perfection. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making the entire experience delightful. If you're craving exceptional curries in Sheffield, this is the spot to visit!"
Part of a food so the advantage of going here as a group is that different people can try different cuisines. Authentic indo-nepali food, nothing too spicy or oily, very plain and simple, just like homemade food. The chapatis were over (about 1:30 PM) so i hope to go over again some other day to eat a complete thali. The veg momos were good and freshly steamed. Good portions for a good price. Friendly staff.
Sooooo tasty, service was great and a great variety on one dish! Amazing - best curry I've had in a while.
As a non South Asian, I highly rate this place and would recommend people visiting Sheffield city center to take a bit of detour and have lunch here.
It’s a no hassle (what I would consider) authentic Nepalese shop. It only has two menus (veg, meat or for the hungry one, “a little bit of everything”). The food is being cooked in the kitchen constantly and you can tell the mains were freshly made. The sambar and other relishes feel authentic and obviously taste amazing.
For a shop in a food court the service is also fantastic.
One of my favourite lunch spots - service is so quick and the grub is tasty and cheap. This whole plate (bean curry and potato curry) was only £6. Bargain!
Had lunch there today and got a huge amount of delicious curry, rice etc for £5. This place is way better then the top rated curry house on Trip Advisor. Totally recommended for great authentic food.
Had a bit of everything. Delicious. Ate it all. Lean meat. Nicely spiced. Will return.
Great food at a really reasonable price. The staff are really friendly, too. Good sized portions for a lunch to take away or eat on the many seats. Well with a visit!
Recommend the 'little bit of everything' dish. I go out my way to have lunch here. Delish.
Wow, totally amazing food, great price, friendly and helpful staff, they seem very passionate about their products, thank you very much guys, I'd come dine with you soon
I tried momos first time here ....I love it veg one more than chicken momos it's really very very yummy the sauce with that is flavourful very yummy together to eat ,I ate 2 portions momos even though I love to eat more , the service was very friendly , I love the vegetables momos especially no words to say how yummy is that I like to eat more while I ate there thank you for the yummy food
Authentic food. Amazing staff and very reasonable with the pictured dish being £8 plus £1 for the roti. Thank you 😁
This is probably the best curry I have ever had - £8 all in with a flatbread, incredibly friendly customer service, and the food is incredible.
Ordered the bit of everything with a roti and some meat momos, all of which was delicious! Excellent, friendly service. One of my favourite places to eat in town!
Excellent simple tasty food served on a thali dish
Takes me back to my travels
Really liked hanging out on Moor Market with a friend, very casuap, low key atmosphere, great, tasty food for under a tenner, what's not to like?
Lovely, tasty, homemade lunchtime gem! Staff really friendly and polite. Will be going back as the food is delicious and superb value for money.
