I’ve been here on different occasions and tried different things from the menu. First of all, the food is absolutely delightful. Every time we had food here we were amazed by the mixture of flavors the food has and how well they go with each other. Secondly, the service is very nice, patient and always helpful. Usually it seems busy especially during mornings when we barely found seats inside, which obviously shows the place is really good. Always a pleasure being here.
A amazing place in Kelham Island! Good atmosphere and great service. Their food options had a lovely selection finished with a tasty flat white. Next time I’m in the area we will be back! Also offer student and blue light discount 💙
Great cafe with a lovely decor, view, plenty of seating (both outdoors and indoors), quiet corners and friendly staff. Unfortunately when I went, the kitchen was closed so I could only try their coffee and cakes. Had the cappuccino and marmalade pudding. Coffee was good but the pudding was a bit hard. Overall, a great place!
It was a really nice place for breakfast and lunch.
Chai latte and americano good.
Food:
The Turkish eggs dish was amazing, highly recommended.
Pancakes good too, but I wish I'd had the syrup separately to add the amount I wanted, but out of that it was perfect.
Waitress and personel always kind and serving
I'm shocked I forgot to rate this place the first time, so here we are. Came for the first time with the in-laws for brunch, everyone was happy - pancakes for the child, salads for my mother in law and my father in law joined in with the Turkish breakfast that was amazing. Went today with a friend for lunch, good for her as she tries to avoid a lot of gluten so salad range great for her. Great value, lovely service, pleasant but simple decor. They have 3 branches of the Grind Cafe now, need to try them all but this definitely gets 5 stars.
Nice place, good seating indoors and outdoors. Good brunch options but nothing outstanding.
Vegetarian breakfast is fine but not my favourite- picture attached.
Lovely branded mugs and saucers, coffee was good but not exceptional
Really nice location for coffee, cakes and food.
My 2nd visit but first time eating in. The location is next to a large carpark so its easy to park and visit. The cafe makes great coffee. I ordered the Turkish breakfast and the black pudding and both were excellent.
The staff were friendly, helpful and found us a table.
The while location has a nice vibe and seems like it would be a nice place to call into for a coffee blast.
Delicious. Delicious. Delicious.
Great atmosphere and even more delicious food. The coffee also, fantastic. Great americano. So flavorful.
I had the Egg’s Benedict Croissant
In a warm Croissant with honey yorkshire ham, poached eggs, candied chestnuts & Balsamic (minus the Benedict because I’m allergic to dairy). The candied chestnuts, wow. Sweet, crunchy and mouthwatering.
Fantastic atmosphere, we didn't want to leave. The food was amazing nearly all of it looks home made. The staff are very friendly. The look of the place and the music is superb. Wouldn't hesitate to come again!
Fantastic food! Didn't expect to find such simple, but very tasty dishes. All freshly made. Quality vs. price is also great. Photo: main with 3 salads for 12,5£.

Finally myself and my wife have found a cafe where we can have "a" breakfast. We have gone to a few places in Sheffield and never felt so happy to have a brunch. We South Indians feel that we have the perfect breakfast in the world. So it's hard to satisfy us with just a croissant and a coffee. It had to be a baconnaise with BLT and a simple hash with less salted ham (which wasn't greasy btw). Well thought-out dishes and friendly staff. We'll be going to this place often and update more here on our experiences.

fresh good quality food,, nice chilled out atmosphere. took about 45 minutes from ordering to receive food but was well worth it. in a regeneration area with a hipster vibe
note: only need one coffee since they are very strong,, also come early cos by 10am all tables are full :)
Kelham Island is a cool gentrified area of Sheffield filled with cool bars & cafes. This is the only one I've visited so far but boy what a first impression. Great breakfast menu, great coffee & lovely environment. Salads & cakes look amazing so I'm going to buy cake & take it home. The Gring full English is easily one of the best full English breakfasts I've ever had. Well done everyone at the grind.
Went out for a long lunch with former work colleagues and bumped into 3 x SWFC footballers and as a fan that really made my day. The food was great as was the friendly service and really nice atmosphere in the cafe.

2021 - Perfect place for lunch. Huge sausage rolls and interesting tasty salad ! They do great soups and more substantial home made meals too. Staff kind and accomodating lovley !
Update October - 2022 You can always expect a tasty and vibrant lunch at the grind.
I love their salads pictures in the middle here, which can be added to any meal.
They can be a little pricey, but a great treat once or twice a month.
Their sausage rolls are the thing of legend, and their BBQ chicken sarnie was very tasty and filling too. Soups here are also home made and tasty.
Strong recommendation for vibrant and tasty food ! A great choice for lunch when in the area.
Discovered this café by chance. Great service. Lovely setting near old Kelham and great coffee and cakes. If we are visiting Sheffield again we will definitely stop again. All the best!
Kind staff and delicious breakfast! I also had a hazelnut cappuccino which I will hands down say was the best I have had! Definitely recommend!
Visited today best scone ever & the blackcurrant jamI sensational.
