Always a fantastic dining experience, great ambiance, lovely staff, amazing gin selection and good to die for!
Amazing gluten free menu!! Delicious food, and an all-round lovely experience! Would 11/10 recommend for coeliacs (the menu is entirely gluten free)
A jewel of a restaurant. Every morsel of complimentary soup, Starter, Main and Dessert beautifully cooked. Meats tender and succulent, sauces a blend of delicious flavours, vegetables timed to perfection for optimum flavour and texture. Staff very friendly, helpful and efficient. Excellent cuisine and excellent value for money. Highly recommend. Will definitely dine there and soon. πππππππ
Went with my partner and his parent's for his Mum's birthday. Absolutely superb food all round. Seriously good. We all couldn't choose what to eat. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. Everyone was trying a bit of each others because everything was so good. Had 3 courses each, and a great bottle of wine. Interior is lovely too, with cushions available for the seats. Large selection of gins and cocktails too. Lovely setting in the countryside too. Look forward to going in the summer to enjoy the views while dining. Thanks for a great meal!
Probably the best Sunday roast out I've ever had in my life and I can't recommend it enough, lovely thick cuts of meat that melted in the mouth, awesome roast potatoes and nice selection of veg, all nice and hot. Friendly staff that were extremely helpful. 7 of us and not a single fault found.
We went for a family meal/birthday get together. The staff are very friendly, lots of great drinks choices, especially if you like your gins and tonics. The food was really tasty, we had the belly pork starter which was mouth wateringly good, then the roast dinner which we had a bit of all the meats, all cooked perfectly and the roast potatoes are the best I have ever had, really tasty, and the gravy is really tasty too. Had sticky toffee for dessert and it was great. Overall very impressed and would go back again. Lovely venue and very clean, would definitely recommend if you're out that way and fancy some good food.
Well signposted from Lee Lane, the Bistro in the Barn is situated at the end of a long driveway. Welcomed by the staff we sat at our reserved table waiting for our friends to arrive with a drink from the bar. As it was a Sunday afternoon we had a choice from a Sunday menu or the main menu. We could pick and choose starters, main course and dessert from either. While we were waiting for our starters we were provided with a complementary small cup of very tasty soup. All the food provided was of excellent quality and served very professionally. Vegetarians will have no problems with the menu as there is plenty of choice. Overall a very enjoyable afternoon with excellent food, attentive staff in a pleasant countryside setting. I will be returning to the Bistro in the Barn soon.
Went to Bistro in the Barn last night to celebrate a friends 50th. Only 3 ladies in our party but the atmosphere was intimate the setting tranquil the gin selection extensive and the food beautiful. Lamb and red currant sauce...Gosh. The staff and manager were very personable and friendly. It was a lovely lovely evening. Finding somewhere so special was the overall treat.
First time visit today and what an amazing place it is, as someone who is coeliac this place accommodated to everything, all the staff were super friendly and put my mind at ease when ordering. the food was incredible super tasty! Will definitely be returning for their pie night!
A significant journey from where we live for a w/e lunch, but well worth it. Intimate, GREAT food, amazing location, fantastic staff (both a post COVID rarity just now) and reasonably priced. We will be back!
