I can’t believe I found this cute little restaurant, everything inside here is really authentic Mexican food and it’s a really good value for money! The staff are really friendly and welcoming, they recommended us some great food and we tried the silver bullet burrito this time. It has a bit of everything and next time we’ll try the other burritos and my husband wants to try the churros. Everything on the menu looks delicious 🤤 . Looking forward to trying something else on our next return. This place definitely hits the spot when it comes to taste and price.
Always eat here pre gig when we're in Sheffield. Absolutely superb fresh Mexican food, dirty fries, desserts and quality craft Ales too. The staff are always polite, friendly and patient. Can't recommend it highly enough, it's absolutely banging!
'Street Food' are the buzz words of the decade and the Mexican Canteen and Burrito Bar at 'Street Food Chef' has got it spot on.
We dined here by chance, finding it tucked away on Arundel Street whilst looking for parking at a gig nearby. We were so impressed with the food, soft drinks, the decor and it's cabin atmosphere, making this quirky back street restaurant pretty much unique.
How they manage to cram this experience into such a confined space deserves congratulations and Street Food Chef gets our five-star recommendation.
My mexican friend suggested this restaurant for me as it was so close to my office. The interior of the restaurant is so nice with many colourful and Mexican style. And the waiter suggested me vegetarian food as I said I don't wanna eat the meat. He gave me the jack fruit. And they have rice as well. So it's good.
Popped in for lunch and came in during peak time. Despite this, service was quick and friendly and the staff were all lovely! Food was warm and flavourful and the portions were generous! Don't be shy with the salsa - we got medium and definitely could've gone hotter! 🔥
Generously filled burrito, guy behind the bar was really nice, great range of options (inc. vegetarian!) And they have Jarritos if you want. Recommend.
Reaaally good Mexican food. Portions are great and filling! There’s also a comfortable, non fancy but fairly clean seating area which gives customers flexibility to eat in and not feel rushed
Good drinks selection too - happy to eat my favourite combo of a burrito with a Desperado’s Sol 👌🏻 And they have great churros!

I had the dirty fries (£5) loaded with a 3 bean chilli & cheese which was good! I would maybe have had the fries a little crispier - but that's down to personal taste really. So far, nothing's topped their quesadillas for me, which are amazing. The churros are also a stand out!
A group of us got burritos to take out a few days ago and everyone really enjoyed it. I had the three bean chilli in mine and it was really tasty! Lots of vegetarian options and was really nice to choose exactly what you wanted. Staff were super friendly as well, will definitely be coming back :)

I've dined in at their Arundel St place several times, and last week I ordered 28 burritos for a special event. The food has been delicious every time, and the team are friendly, helpful and super reliable.
The food here is amazing! The staff are so lovely and great at offering recommendations. The atmosphere is fantastic, the Mexican theme shines through beautifully.
There's great options for vegetarian and vegan dietary requirements and they serve some alcohol.
They do Takeaway and Delivery too! I ordered on Uber Eats the other day and was so impressed, exactly the same great quality I would expect when dining in.
A decent little venue, definitely has the street food vibe and of course with really tasty food. I had the burrito which was mega filling and my fella had tacos, I tried the pork and it was divine I'm sure the beef and chicken would be the same. The cheese was a quid extra for the burrito and I'd have thought that would have come as standard.
so i was having a dream of this giant burrito because of all those tiktoks of the american mukbangs and i knew that street food chef would fulfil my craving. and i was CORRECT. guys if you have not tried get the silver bullet burrito on uber eats and do the grande upgrade. it's the biggest burrito i've ever seen in my life and i did not regret it a single bit. love this place, best burrito i've ever had in my life. so flavourful. get the chicken tinga filling + guac if ur gonna come here. but i love this place with my whole heart thank you for fulfilling my dream of the giant burrito.
Very good and I know this is the phrase that gets thrown out around a lot but the food feels pretty fresh not procesed whatever that means . relatively healthy good price good vegetarian options. Very few decent and healthy food places in this area of Sheffield massively lacking, seen as the university is next door so this place is a godsend
Surprisingly good Mexican in Sheffield. Hard to believe it but Sheffield has great Mexican street food. This place located behind Jurys Inn where I was staying. Much more authentic than your Taco Bell. Good collection of Mexican beers too.
The best burritos 🌯 in the city! Took my wife for her first visit and she loved it. The burritos are packed with filling and full of flavour. Add a side order of dirty fries they are delicious. 👌🏽😋
Great place for a quick bite. Food it tasty, fresh and at a price that won't break the bank.
Gorgeous food and lovely staff. I've never had a bad meal from here. I had protein bowl with chicken and a lager. Filling and delicious. Looking forward to my next visit.
