Was a bit empty when we visited but it was early Saturday evening. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely old building but a bit sparce at the moment, but I think it's only just been taken over. Bit of colour on the walls might take away the under-funded youth club look. I would go back.
The landlord is very very friendly, he is always respectful to his customer and Brings a extremely good vibe to the pub, I highly recommend coming to the doctors orders for a drink you will definitely enjoy your night here at the doctors orders!

Good beer, but poor selection. Very good service and a good atmosphere, staff working hard to make it a good place to go.
New owners have really cleaned up the place. So much nicer. Friendly service and cheap prices. What not to like.

Extremely friendly staff, a large selection of drinks at affordable prices. Owners will welcome you with open arms and make you feel comfortable. Honestly cannot rate them highly enough. Karaoke is fab on a Friday too!

Had an party here and they provided Karaoke which was great fun! Good prices at the bar and a good selection of beers and spirits. Doesn't look great from the outside, but worth dropping in and staying around.
Lovely traditional pub warm and friendly, excellent location with it being so close to town and the children’s hospital. Good selection of drinks on offer .

Nice large pub with beer garden. Lots of drinks and a nice friendly dog to greet you when you walk in.
