Amazing food. Amazing service. We always come here for any celebration and absolutely love it. Sushmita always makes us feel so welcome and looks after your so well! We came for the 5 course tasting menu with bottomless drinks and everything was delicious. Thank you!
Pleasant and intimate environment, very personable manager, and lovely chefs. There was a good variety to order from, portions were generous and the fish fresh. It is more fusion than pure Japanese but we had a good time. A special shout out to the chef who prepared 2 special dishes just for us.
We visited for my birthday and had a lovely evening. The service and food was amazing, the sushi is so, so good! There is a great selection of food and drink and the set menu is excellent. We were very well looked after and had a great night. They have a whole separate vegetarian and vegan menu which is awesome. Thank you!
Amazing food, super friendly service. We had the 3 courses which came with sushi tasters in-between courses and chocolates and sake to finish. Cocktails fab too. Lots of vegan and meaty choices, very accommodating. Can't wait to go back!
My first time at Kokos and it didn’t disappoint! Rather than the set menu options (which did look very tempting and good value), we ordered the full selection of the sushi rolls.. 40 rolls later between two people, it’s fair to say I was very full! All delicious and fresh, made to order and so tasty. The waitress was actually the new restaurant manager and she was excellent, very attentive and friendly and advised on the menu choices. Would definitely return to Koko’s and try some more of the wonderful dishes.
A fantastic tasting menu with a bottomless brunch. The dessert add on was very worth it. Definitely worth a try. The staff were incredibly attentive and personable. Sushi was the highlight as to be expected but the venison was also stand out.
Went to Koko for our Wedding Anniversary and it definitely fitted the occasion. Front of house was so polite, friendly and helpful, the Chef and Sous Chef were incredible in their work and the food was out of this world. The best Tempura and Sushi we've ever tasted and all presented so beautifully. I would recommend this small and perfect restaurant to anyone and we will definitely be going back. Thank you Koko for a perfect evening.
2022 update - just gets better and better! The top Asian resturant in Sheffield (we've tried the rest) has a new menu and it's superb.

Wow, what an excellent restaurant.
We're in love with the Koko dining experience having just celebrated a couples birthday at this wonderful Sheffield restaurant.
The dishes are superb, each one is almost a work of art and they taste even better than they look.
We particularly enjoyed the Tsumago sushi rolls, topped with pan-fried sirloin steak and homemade pesto - so delicious we had seconds!
Manager Dan, Alice, Anthony and top chef Felix made the dining experience at Koko up there with the best - they are all very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the dishes.
We're already looking forward to our next visit to this top Sheffield restaurant.
Highly, highly recommended.

Absolutely blown away!
There was nothing bad at all to say about this nights experience. We both did the menyu 52 and it was worth every pound. It may feel expensive but you get so much food out of it, we walked out so full and satisfied. The chef’s treats between the courses were such a lovely touch. The presentation of each meal was fantastic! A treat for the eyes. The miso soup especially stuck out to me - it was incredible and I loved the chunks of tofu! I loved the variation in each plate, I loved the colours and freshness. What was really great was that it wasn’t your typical Japanese food - my partner got venison and carpaccio! And he absolutely loved both. The desserts were the perfect size, not overwhelming at all. The soy sauce I could have drank like juice!
All that doesn’t even mention how great the service was - Alice was incredible. She was the only staff serving that night, with just one chef one in the kitchen. She was so kind and they were not at all slow or delayed, I wouldn’t have even realised it was just the two of them! A birthday card was left on the table for my fiancé’s birthday which he greatly appreciated! Just overall wonderful experience and absolutely cannot wait to go back!!
Absolutely stunning food, amazing how it comes out of such a tiny kitchen! We had the £38 menu and certainly weren't disappointed with lovely little tasters between courses. You must try the venison! Warm atmosphere with Japanese inspried decor, only space for 28 covers so booking far ahead is essential, Great attentive service.
Once again, a fantastic meal, well prepared and beautifully presented food and we felt very well looked after, thank you! Can’t wait for another visit!

Had a fantastic night at Koko, and will definitely return.
Service was excellent and very friendly.
Food was superb, and portions well sized.
I had appetisers of miso soup and eddamame beans to start. Highly recommend the garlic butter with the beans.
I had mixed tempura to start, which was excellent. Decent size helping of really high quality king prawns and soft shell crab. Dipping sauce was really tasty too.
The real star of the show was the sushi platter I had for my main. Really good mix of traditional and modern sushi. Had the salmon, tuna, and prawn that you would expect, and a few more unusual picks like sea bass and mackerel. Quality if ingredients were excellent, and the in-house sushi chef is obviously very talented. Probably some of the best sushi I've had, and I've been to Japan multiple times.
Dessert of chocolate and cherry torte was also brilliant. Very rich, but not too sweet.
As part of the set meal, I also had a few little extras, such as an amazing gunkan maki and piece of dried fruit vegan chocolate which rounded off the meal nicely.
Highly recommended, and will certainly be back.
Lovely restaurant with friendly atmosphere and excellent Japanese food. We visit whenever we are in Sheffield. We get a warm welcome and my dietary requirements are remembered automatically.
Finally good quality sushi food in Yorkshire... Tried few sushi spots, but none of them was even close to my favourite place abroad. Koko is for definite the closest one, offering fantastic service, good - essential, short menu (in a positive way) where everybody will find something interesting. Food is served really beautifully, composed with a modern slightly fusion twist to it, looks great. Flavours of ingredients are well balanced, fish is obviously very fine and fresh. We went mainly for sushi rolls, but other dishes also looked tasty. Very tempting option was a choice of Japanese whisky brands, so leave your car at home :)
The place itself is clean, nicely looking restaurant, not huge, more with a little cosy atmosphere.
Well done for the chef for excellent food quality and for the staff to be professional and helpful. Hope to be back one day for the upcoming new menu.

First time I went to koko around a year ago we loved it and couldn’t wait to go back!
This time the staff were amazing yet again cannot fault the restaurant manager she is amazing the food wasn’t as great this time it wasn’t as premium and there was too much food that didn’t seem to be as high quality as last time which was a shame
The price also went up to between £80-£90 per person
This place is absolutely exceptional! Everything about it is beautiful and I would highly recommend anyone that loves fabulous food and service to go there.
Our server was Alice and she accompanied us all night with amazing service that always left us satisfied and happy with our questions answered. The food was made to the highest standard by the chefs and we polished off several plates!

Tasty Japanese food in a setting that took us back to being in Japan! Great service from all the waiting staff. A whole menu dedicated to vegan and vegetarian food as well. Will definitely return here.
