Have visited tonight for the first time. What an absolute delight, from the warm welcome as soon as you walk through the door, the lovely waitress who served our table, the delicious meal and the delicious bread and butter pudding 🥰. We have had a lovely evening here and would highly recommend to anyone. Will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone at the Black Horse and to the owner/chef for taking the time to come to our table to make sure everything was okay and generally chat. Would have given more gold stars if I could.

Lovely pub, not too big or small. Clean and modern decor with traditional elements such as exposed wooden joists. Welcome was warm, service was quick and friendly, prices were good. Coffee, tea and chips were ordered, all served promptly and were very nice. Ambient music was a good selection and at a volume which allowed easy conversation. Will certainly be coming back!

Dean is just a lovely, down to earth gentleman! We’re not used to people being so genuine and hospitable to people who he’s never met. Really appreciate your help and consideration to our last minute plans!

Proper English country village pub with open fires. Celebrated with family on a busy Sunday night in a warm, welcoming atmosphere full of locals and travellers like us. Staff were friendly, polite and brought our meals quickly and considerately despite the late hour. Owners couldn't do enough for us. If you're looking for top quality food, well kept beers and a real selection at the bar in an immaculate establishment looked after by people that love their craft, we couldn't recommend the Black Horse more highly. Cheers!

Stopped off here on the way home from Twycross Zoo just on the off chance they might serve food. Staff were helpful and friendly and the homemade lamb kebab was absolutely magnificent!

Having moved to the area just over 2 months ago we were keen to find a nice local pub that served good food & beer with a warm welcoming atmosphere. This place ticked all the boxes. Looking forward to many more evenings enjoying the hospitality of the landlords and their staff. Highly recommend especially with their great home cooked food.

Great pub. The Sunday Roast is to die for (especially the cauliflower cheese!); the staff are friendly and incredibly helpful; and the atmosphere is lovely.

Arrived, to a very warm friendly welcome. Beautifully decorated and super clean. Lovely comfy lounge, separate bar and restaurant area, plus three outdoor seating areas with lots of lovely flowers. Unfortunately, we didn’t eat there, but guess it would be properly cooked traditional pub food. The landlord was great, very welcoming and took time to chat, lovely, even gave us a free bag of ice, despite us offering to pay for it!! Don’t get that so much these days. Thank you absolutely fantastic time and people. Keep up the great work. Sarah and John Moore.

What a fantastic night! Food was delicious. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing, so hard to choose! Service was very friendly and efficient. Staff were attentive and checking all ok and if you wanted another drink when your glass was empty. Our food was gorgeous and generous portions. Didn’t really have room for pudding but it had to be done and was so worth it. Can’t wait to go back! Thank you

A warm pub, welcoming staff and very good, fair priced food. Our dog loved it too. Wish this was our local but will still worth a journey
