Pencil Cottage - Shanklin - Photo album

Really extensive menu. Delicious home cooked food & cakes. Quirky phone booth & shed in garden selling secondhand books for charity. Food was reasonably priced & portions were a good size. Would recommend and visit again if we were in the area.
Beautiful garden area outside this lovely cafe. The staff were fantastic, especially with our children. My three year old absolutely loved her jelly, icecream and smarties! Nice gift shop attached too where we bought a few souvenirs. Would love to return if we’re ever in Shanklin again.
Cute little tea room in heart of Shanklin, We went on a sunny day and obviously would recommend sitting outside. That staff is courteous and they are very friendly with you. They are pet friendly and even have a pet food menu. Their ice-creams are worth a mention as it is locally made
I had the crab baguette and honestly was amazing, it's also really filling and came with really nice garnishes. I'd totally recommend
We popped in for food and decided on the high tea, Although we were asked which sandwiches we would like and a choice of slice of cake, the overall presentation and size of the sandwiches provided was a little underwhelming for the price. Although the fruit scone was nice and enough jam and clotted
Very nice tea room right next to the Shanklin Chine. We had nice cream tea there which is really reasonable priced. Cream tea are fresh and tasty. They do sandwiches and pizza there, too. Tea room is first come first served. - you can call the book a table. Most of the sitting area are our door. We h
came here last year to see if it was any good. best burger I'd ever eaten. then came back this year to see if anything had changed, I can confirm, it hasn't. American cheese, mozzarella and bacon on a burger made me shake the hand of God and see Angela it was so good.
It's a lovely place!! I love it, sooo cute. We arrived in the morning time, so we needed to wait till 10 to order. They have nice cakes, ice creams even some cider as well. No alcoholic drink can be order before 11. You can sit outside in a beautiful garden. Nice with garden statues.
Nicola & staff are absolutely lovely! Wonderful scones in a cozy atmosphere. Couldn’t ask for a better way to start a Sunday :)
Such a sweet lunch cafe in the old town of Shanklin. Perfect to sit outside in the courtyard on a sunny afternoon for lunch or afternoon tea. The menu has lots options both savoury and sweet, even with a vegan lunch spread and vegan scones! Really friendly servers too.
