Today was our first visit. It certainly won't be our last. Food was absolutely outstanding. We were a party of 9 people and absolutely everyone seriously enjoyed their food. I had steak. Asked for medium rare. It was absolutely perfect! It's extremely rare that my steak is cooked medium rare in most places I've been. Usually comes medium. But this was absolutely perfect and you could seriously tell the good quality of meat. The staff were also outstanding. Massive well done to everyone, a very enjoyable, comfortable and welcoming experience with amazing food on top. Thank you

Called at the Talbot for a drink & some food before setting off back home to Cheshire after an 8mile walk. I had rump steak (which I don't normally like) & my partner had pork loin. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food & the service was good. Would definitely revisit if we are in the area again (which we intend to be).

We love the Talbot Arms, called here on Saturday for tea and we both had the gammon with a stilton glaze, it comes with a lovely side salad and amazing rustic chips. The gammon is very tasty, the stilton glaze sets if off and my husband who doesn't really like gammon say's it is the best he has ever had. The staff are very friendly and I love the atmosphere of the place with dogs sprawled out having a snooze. We liked it that much we moved here last year ! x

Been going here for over 3 years whilst visiting Settle in the motorhome. It's a lovely little pub nestled away in the Yorkshire Dales. They have new owners who we met on our last visit and are very pleasant. The food is lovely as always and very affordable and all homemade. The homemade pies are my favourite with hand cut chips and fresh vedge. The pub offers great company a large selection of wines beers and ales and is well behaved dog friendly. There is very large well kept sun trap of a beer garden at the rear there is also a pool table and dartboard. Lovely place to visit well recommended

We were staying in Settle and went into the Talbot Arms for a drink, we glanced at the menu and decided to eat there. My husband had the Pork in pepper and mushroom sauce with mash and veg. He said it was absolutely wonderful and very filling. I had the haddock prawn and spinach moray with chips and salad. Really tasty with loads of fish and spinach. The beer was well kept as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all a great visit.

Fantastic local pub, great staff, quick service, lovely food. Dog friendly. Plenty of drink options including a cup of decaf tea. Just don't take on the locals at pool, seems to be full of pool legends!

Food was okay, fries are crispy, didn't get to try the Sunday roast as they were sold out. Great location after hiking with a lovely small garden if it is sunny!

Excellent meal. My partner thoroughly Enjoyed the homemade steak pie ( just needed a spoon for gravy) and I had steak burger with bacon and blue stilton cheese. The ale was spot on Settle challenger and I had a very nicely presented pot of tea. Overall excellent experience, would reccomend

Nothing better than a friendly pub to relax in after a long walk. Good food, actually great food, staff are lovely and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal, very generous portions too, but we made room for it 😉. Nothing pretentious just delicious wholesome food- 5star +

Excellent chef, devised a new version of the smoked cod loin special, free from my odd atypical allergens, at no notice. It was delicious. A fab treat. Lovely pub, friendly atmosphere.

18/04/23: a welcomed sign after walking up to Victoria's Cave. A much needed pint of some good quality craft ale. Lots of choice too, and dog friendly.
