I love this place definitely worth a visit and will be returning. It is so interesting and there is so much to see. So many studios where there is a vast range of articles been made and for sale, from silversmiths, artists, weavers, quilters etc. a great area for the kids to interact and to learn about weaving. They often have demonstrations of lacemaking and weaving too where you get the chance to have a go yourself. The place is not cluttered like some you visit - wheelchair/pushchair friendly as there is a lift too. There is also a book shop that sells a vast range of books at a really reasonable price. Entry fee is very reasonable considering the Mill is run on charitable donations. Chatting with some of the other visitors who have been before I gather there is a lot of things planned for the future and they told me that over the last couple of months things have improved so much they are excited to see the Mill developing into a busy tourist attraction, personally I can't wait to visit again.

What an amazing place. I've visited arts centres before but I was knocked out by the range and quality of crafts on display. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the cafe was pretty good too. Highly recommended as a place to visit.

A gem hidden in beautiful countryside. Traditional crafts being woked and exhibited. We went to see the Alison Scott exhibition. A fine contemporary artist. Well worth a visit.

A visit to Farfield Mill is a really enjoyable experience. If you are expecting that rather dull 'museum' atmosphere, then think again. It is very much a living, dynamic community. Be sure to visit the new exhibitions, and sample the fabulous food on offer in Weavers Cafe, served by Amanda and her lovely team. On a Monday and Wednesday, venture up to the fourth floor to meet the weaving friends - a dedicated group who love to share their skills and to inspire. The third floor showcases high-quality hand-crafted textile and other products for that special present. The resident artists throughout the mill love to chat about their skill and products. This is a visitor attraction that is going places. Make sure you visit soon and discover its hidden secrets. Ample free car parking too.

Excellent off the beaten track café. Looked at the throng at Devil's Bridge and decided to look for a quieter spot. Lovely and friendly, nice food and drinks. We will be back!

We travelled to the Tea Room at Farfield Mill at the last minute, and without having had lunch before we set off. The menu wasn't extensive, but was more than adequate to suite most needs, and the service was first class! The lady that brought out our meals was friendly and helpful, and obviously enjoyed her work. The adjacent table had a very friendly dog, so it was nice to see that dogs were welcome. Our table was decorated with fresh wild flowers which topped off what was a thoroughly pleasant experience.

Food tasted lovely but my goodness you don't get much for what you pay - spoiler alert; it isn't cheap. Super small portions. Had a baked potato and tuna mayo - the potato had been nuked in the microwave and was a bit mushy but the tuna was moist and tasty and the homemade (perhaps?) colslaw was lovely but just not nearly enough. Now I complain about the plate size because at 8 pounds I would have expected a good, hearty, whole plated feed.

Just stopped for cup of tea. Mill was very popular. Tiffin was welcome. Tea for two was a bargain 5 cups in one pot. Didn't stay long enough for 5 stars but it probably would deserve it.
