The Moorcock Inn - Sedbergh - Photo album

In September this year I hurt myself whilst walking on the hills and falling over in very wet weather. Due to my injury my husband and I, with our dog, missed our train and so we decided to pop into the Moorcock Tearoom. We had such a warm welcome from the two wonderful women running the cafe and e
Nice pub. We got there just as they opened and it was quite cold but it warmed up as more people came in. The menu is limited but the food was very good and the portions were more than adequate. Soft drinks only seemed available in cans and again was a bit limited but the bar looked fully stocked in
Had a wonderful stay, the staff were lovely and friendly, the room was beautiful and clean. Food was amazing, especially the Bakewell Tart truly a masterpiece, especially with ice cream!. The steak pie was gorgeous, everything was good. Portions were enormous!! Would definitely recommend, combined

Called in for a beef stew lunch for two, the service price and quality were all A+ The atmosphere and surroundings are very traditional welcoming and homely. Would highly recommend a visit on your way to Hawes.
Pleasant, welcoming pub, with well kept real ale.
Love this place. No bells and whistles but clean comfortable rooms, simple food cooked well and friendly, helpful staff. Beautifully situated for dog walking which is always an important consideration for me. Will certainly be back!
A very comfy and welcome pub after a walk around Garsdale Nice beer and a good few vegan choices too
Stopped for a spot of lunch whilst riding through the Dales after navigating the heavily populated Hawes. Great view, nice and quiet, friendly staff and looked to have nice beers on. Just could have done with a sandwich or something for a lunch option is all rather than a whole pub meal or bar sna
A great place to stay eat and drink , a very rural location in a beautiful part of the UK.
A fantastic place for a beer, a meal or to stay the night. I arrived dripping wet and cold off the fells. Lovely warm welcome and toasty warm room. Stayed in a small but comfortable single room. Delicious food, homemade fishcakes. Fabulous setting in the Yorkshire Dales. Great walking all around. Hi

Food and drink excellent! Staff enormously friendly. Kept apologizing for lack of staff but honestly it was no problem. Very welcoming!
Very friendly and welcoming locally run pub with comfortable areas to sit and relax and a dining area where (on Sundays at least) they served a pretty good traditional roast dinner. absolutely ideal for weary hikers or breaking up a long car journey through the Dales. A gem you shouldn't miss if you
I've been coming here for thirty years or more after hiking up the nearby moors. Lovely cosy little pub with great outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Great chips and ice cream too!
Lovely quiet pub, ideal for a stop on a walk around Garsdale. We had a cappucino, homemade bakewell tart and a delicious lake land ice cream.
Cracking pub on the moors. Good selection of beers and the food was excellent. Dosnt have a wide range of meals but what they do have is top notch. If they have game pie on when you go, have it. On the ball with cleaning and staff are very friendly and chatty.
