Eat downstairs at a table in the bar area. A clean and comfortable modern setting which was serving very good, unpretentious food at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and efficient and we were made to feel very welcome. I would go back without hesitation.

Friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. Coffee good. Didn't eat, but food prep area (visible from seating area) looked clean and professional. Clean toilets. Amazing collection of black and white photos of movie stars from the golden age of cinema.

The Old Picture House is simply wonderful thanks to the amazing staff. The chefs provide delicious freshly cooked meals and the bar staff could not have been better. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We had three delicious meals during our stay at one of the apartments and the atmosphere was great. We will be back again soon

Sunday lunch - generous portions, everything freshly cooked and delicious. The Old Picture House is just what is says, it’s been lovingly renovated to retain the tradition features yet offers a large, open and welcoming restaurant and bar. The staff are friendly and helpful (Donna the manager is such a star) and the food is excellent. Seaton is, like most seaside towns, a bit faded and jaded bit places like this really help boost its amenities.

Wow, it's an amazing place with awesome, friendly, accommodating staff. The food was super tasty, with such a wide variety and big, well presented portions The decor was 1920s mixed with industrial in a modern way with a film theme. We absolutely loved it and will return when we are next up this way!

Rather tired looking place in an equally tired town but with great staff and tasty food. Service was great throughout. The creamy garlic mushrooms were very tasty but arrived almost cold.... The liver and bacon was a treat taking me back to my childhood and it was very hot when it arrived so that's where the place lost a star. If I ever go back to Seaton again I would go back here for food

It was a good place to grab a quick pint, but the outdoors section was quite packed so I had to go upstairs where some locals were making quite a lot of noise, but I can't fault the pub down to that. I just needed a proper beer garden personally .

Over all a great experiance but just one of the staff, he struggled (put politely) to understand our last drinks order, he clearly showed a lack of attentativeness to us and did not even try to fully engage in any customer service. This along side a 30 order to service time, when the order place was not that busy. Having said this the food was very good and well priced. Here was an opportunity missed to offer a bread basket, and apologise with something tangable rather that a half hearted appolgy. Is in Interesting how just one staff member reflects on the other great customer care staff you have. We came as a family of four and had reasonable levels of expectation, I don't expect to be seved by someone who demonstrated both in body language and customer service, that we were an interruption of the business, when actually we are the purpose....... Service. Both of the other servers really did a good job. I might pay a trip next time, I visit the area!

Absolutely the best Sunday lunch I have ever had (apart from the Mrs, of course!) Freshly prepared by proper chefs, everything was very tasty. Didn't have a starter, and was glad I didn't as the gentleman on the next table had one and it was huge! Highly recommended.

Had a fabulous Sunday roast here. It was dog friendly by the bar, and the service was spot on. Decor and atmosphere is nice! Really helpful staff and gave us great service. The meal was tasty and good portion size. At last a restaurant that can do roast potatoes!!

We had a Sunday roast here...my 89 year old mum, myself and my husband. The roast was first rate. Totally home cooked and delicious. The setting, an art deco building which was once, as the bane suggests, a picture house, was a lovely example of this architecture. The staff were simply amazing. Couldn't do enough for us, even shining my mum around the beautiful art deco function room which used to house the screen. Mum is a huge Hollywood fan and this delighted her. Cannot reccomend this place enough gor excellent food, fabulous staff and great atmosphere.

We booked The Old Picture House for a wake in January, for a group of around 30 people. Due to the time of year the pub was closed other than for private functions (so there was the added advantage of having the venue to ourselves - we used the main bar area). From when I first contacted them, they always replied to my messages and the chef discussed our requirements and explained all the options. They were very helpful and on the day the food was excellent (and plenty of it). Drinks were great, staff were friendly, the venue was spotless and it was perfect for our group. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely place. When the weather is good there is seating outside on the balcony or ground level. Inside there is seating downstairs which is decorated with pictures of some of the great film actors & actresses of the classic age. If you choose to dine upstairs then the theme continues up the stairs & into the dining area along with some Disney for the younger generation. The menu here is varied & all the dishes I have tried are equally delicious. The Sunday lunch is amazing. Thank you chefs. The staff here are always helpful & friendly. I must make special mention of 2 people who clearly love their work & nothing is too much trouble, so thank you Ann & Cameron
