Absolutely love this place it is my favourite!
I sometimes travel from Gateshead just for the food here.
The only tiny bit of criticism I have is when it's busy it's difficult to know where to stand and queue.

I visited here on Tuesday of this week and the usual queue was at the shop, after standing for around fifteen minutes and the queue not moving very far, I was about to leave and then the penny dropped that were two places to pay at the counter. The long queue was for customers paying by credit card
The sausage and chips we had were not too bad. If I'm honest we only went here because the queue at almighty cod was too long for us to wait. The staff were lovely and the service spot on. What I don't understand is why different chip shops food taste so different. I would go back again
We had fish, chips and mushy peas from here for the first time yesterday.
Fish was excellent as were the chips the mushy peas however were outstanding, I will be ordering double next time.

Amazing fish and chips. Long queue but worth. It's not expensive, wide range of food, fast and friendly service.
Located at the front with amazing views to the beach. Take away only. Card and cash payment accepted.

Everything was cooked freshly to order. Nothing was greasy - everything that should've been crispy was crispy! More than that, it was delicious, especially the fish & the battered chip barm!! 👌
Absolutely gorgeous fish and chips plus very very well priced. £8.50 for a large fish supper with a side AND tea, coffee or water!! I got a small one and was kicking myself for not getting a large one cos it was soooo tasty.

As always prompt service with a smile. Smaller portions available and plenty of choices. Staff is always busy if not with service then with cleaning. Hard working to say the least.
